March 15, 2025Mar 15 Hi there, unfortunately I cannot find issues by the search function but believe this matter has widely been discussed here. I am on a 60 day (free) tourist visa as a European resident but I will leave on day 61 due to miscalculating. I remember I had that before and the stamped that into my Passport, but no fines. If I do it again, does it have any impact these days or is it a no brainer? Regards Olli
March 15, 2025Mar 15 There are no concerns. Folk cite that for PE visa application overstay is to be avoided. However you are referring to 2 overstays of one day. You will have a stamp indicating that. Should not receive a 500b fine, however have that on hand
March 15, 2025Mar 15 The overstay under 24 hours no fine rule is ONLY for airport departures. You stamp out by land and you're fined for every day starting with day one. As long as you stamp out by 11:59PM the day after your stamp expires you won't be fined for overstay BUT you will indeed get a stamp in your passport in thai saying "overstay under 24 hours fine waived" remember as soon as you hit 24 hours overstay you will get fined 1000baht (for 2 days) 🙂
