Where to get PSA test in Bangkok without seeing a doctor

Featured Replies

Anybody know where I can get a PSA test in Bangkok without having to see a doctor first, as required in many hospitals. It's just an extra unnecessary expense as I know what the readings mean. Do clinics do this? Thanks in advance.

I had very good experience with WellMed Bangkok Clinic, on Sukhumvit close to soi 25.  Not for PSA but for a non standard cancer test.  Great service, no doctor involved.  Contact them and tell them what you need, I'm sure they'll sort you out.

I agree with this recommendation. I got some blood tests done there last year. They emailed the results (performed by BKK Hospital) to me together with a brief covering email from the WeelMed doctor a day later (no face-to-face consultation with the doc on that occasion).

Their price is 750 for PSA.

Sounds ok.

In Pattaya I pay 700.

They say the cost is 750 baht plus 200 for the test whatever the logic is

200 for blood sucking.

If I recall correctly they charge 200 baht for taking the blood sample then a variable price per test result.

Well med is an option.

(Sukhumvit around Soi 33. You do not need to get a package, you can request a specific test. They will email results)

Will also email results but less conveniently located, Lardprao area

With PSA, if elevated, should also get Free PSA to calculate ratio. especially if you have BPH.

Srikarin Hospital, Soi LaSalle Bang Na - short walk from Yellow Line monorail Lasalle Station. Walk in PSA blood test with result in one hour - can arrange to see urologist as necessary depending on the PSA number...

Bangkok RIA Lab Co Ltd is worth a try.

I  use their Chiang Mai Branch. They will send your results by email after lunch on the same day.

Sorry but I can’t remember the fees, about 4K Baht.

I go to Chulalongkorn, it is in the MBK area. 14th floor. Walk-in, prompt service, 700 baht if I remember well and result in 1-2 days through email.

When I'm in Bangkok and want a PSA, I go to Bangkok Christian Hospital.  (Sala Dang BTS) No appointment, no long wait for the test and results within an hour. Can't remember the price but it was under 1k last year.

Thanks for all the advice. I got a walk in PSA test for a total of 950 baht at Wellmed near Asoke, as recommended here. Quick, painless and my results emailed next day. Can't complain at all although I would say the service wasn't really over friendly, just business like along with about 5 staff chatting and laughing in a group at reception, Thai style. I'll go again when necessary. My reading was normal BTW.

You mean the memorial hospital top of Silom? I use for other reasons but it's a very complicated system to get any appt and treatment isn't it? Not exactly walk-in?

I think it belongs to the big hospital but it is a separate building. Just go to the 14th floor and tell them what you want.
