What his MMA training did, was probably giving him a false sense of superiority

False? Seems to everyone else who can read thinks he won...

Nothing like a bit or presumptuousness to add some spice to the story.
She has zero evidence of how long they have been here or for what reason.

How long have you been here? Can you speak fluent Thai?

Which is precisely of course why gangs are roaming Pattaya, people like you refusing to press charges when serious crimes were committed.

You go girl.

Handbags at 50 paces.

The word "false" was probably missplaced excuse me - But i believe that Martial Arts Training especially Combat Sports like MMA where the philosophical aspect is not part of the curriculum, is boosting the ego of young men. If you read the article there was another case sometime ago with a thai muay Thai fighter, also for a parking lot. I followed a similar case back home where also a Muay Thai fighter, a young guy of 25 years got killed because he had to confront some idiots who blocked "his" parking lot.

That's why is say, MMA Training, testosteron, GF nearby and most probably also alcohol it's a dangerous mix.

And the Belgian was indeed very very lucky - if one or even two of the others pulled a knife on him it's game over.

Most important is to get home at the end of day to your loved ones. A blocked driveway is never ever a reason to risk your life.

What a total idiot for not pressing charges. Now a gang of Indian mafia with machetes roams Pattaya. Thanks for nothing, Piet.

It would be interesting to see the effect it would have.  I guess deported and banned for a while?  Perhaps he was concerned it would bring heat back on him or his girlfriend.

It does seem fitting that their actions would cause them to suffer major consequences, though.  It's always nice when bullies see some justice.

The fact that I've been here for 25 years and have ok Thai is irrelevant.

I have friends who have been here longer and speak next to none, as well as the opposite.

We're talking about a Thai girl making assumptions, which are her own opinion but posted as (in the) news.

We can all come to conclusions, but this 'girlfriend' suggesting they're illegal mafia types just because they're Indian and speak the local language is nonsense. Indians live all around the world (legally) and have great language skills.

When might that have been?

Well I have spent most of my life (77) in several countries in Europe and the last 20 years in Thailand without ever being even threatened let alone attacked.

I guess it is a natural consequence of a good fist fight. Whenever I have a good fist fight I generally also become friends with the opponent, all the animosity has been spent.

Still, he should have pressed charges for the greater good. He clearly had nothing to fear from the 4 of them even.
