March 24, 2025Mar 24 My 180 days stamp of being on a DTV will expire in a month's time. I'll need to do an extension at Jomtien for another 180 days. Considering that DTV holders must've already been getting extensions done since the beginning of January, there should be more than 2 months of people already doing this. I haven't seen anyone post any reports of this though. Has anyone done an extension, particularly at Jomtien and what are the requirements? Also, how many days prior to the last day on your stamp are you allowed to apply for an extension at Jomtien?
March 24, 2025Mar 24 Someone told me is better to do a border bounce for the DTV extension. Immigration wants to see too many documents, so stressful

I'd rather avoid the hassle and wasted time of an uncomfortable border run if it's possible to extend at Jomtien.
March 24, 2025Mar 24 I've seen FAR MORE stories from people that went to immigration, got a lot of gruff about wanting a ton of documents, and even the immigration officer suggesting they just leave and return. I've only seen 1 or 2 successful extensions, both in Bangkok.
March 24, 2025Mar 24 OP, good report from this guy (Phuket) however you have seen that as you posted in that thread. https://aseannow.com/topic/1350107-destination-thailand-visa-extension-requirements-posted-on-immigration-website/#elControls_19642048_menu My guess is that most folk are doing border runs. Is your DTV online work?

If you end up doing extension at immigration rather than exit/reenter please post a report. Many would be interested.
