Down from the high of $8+ USD just 3 weeks ago.  Now around $3 UsD a dozen

Even 33% cheaper than $4.13 a dozen, back in late Aug, early Sept 2024.

... MAGA ... one crisis at a time

MAGA. Magnifying American Games Abroad. Diminishing America by the day. Driving up inflation and increasing unemployment, while making America a lesser version of itself. The ruin of the economy is just beginning. Give Trump some time, he has spent his entire lifetime destroying businesses, now he's busy destroying a nation.

Have you ever visited America? Not meant to be judgmental. Just curious.

Topic is eggs, not your delusions or crystal ball predictions.

Save it for the joke thread ...

Is the price in the store really $3 or are these only commodity prices?

A Google search says the "As of March 29, 2025, the average price of a dozen large, Grade A eggs in US cities is around $5.90,"

I checked the web page of a grocery store I use to shop at in Texas and the price is not close to $3.

I see the graph on the page you included but the text does not seem to match.

Eggs US decreased 2.81 USD/DOZEN or 48.30% since the beginning of 2025, according to trading on a contract for difference (CFD) that tracks the benchmark market for this commodity. Historically, Eggs US reached an all time high of 8.17 in March of 2025. source: USDA

A $2.81 decrease from $8.17 is not close to $3.

It just went up in February.

Due to things like eggs which have dropped 48% since.

Eggs may be down 50 cents, but cars are about to be up 25%, or 5-10 thousand dollars.

100% false. The core PCE Price Index, which excludes volatile food and energy prices, rose 0.3% month-over-month and 2.6% year-over-year in January. And then up to 2.7% in February. So it's risen since Trump took office and this measure of inflation excludes egg prices anyway. Eggs could go to $1. Would have zero impact on PCE inflation. Fact.

As always, your vendor can be kind, or price gouge ... same for any product, anywhere.

UP2U where you shop and how thrifty you are, or need to be.   If I lived in the USA, I'd be buying from the local farm, egg producer.  Easy to find, best eggs for best price.

Actually ... If I was in USA, I'd just go out to the coop every morning and get my eggs.   I'd have a coop here, but eggs are too cheap, and I like my free time.  The garden & greenhouse is enough for now.

#1 eggs being <$1.50 a dozen here / TH.

You just post consistently, non-factual, delusional information. I've proven it with factual data. There's nothing more to it. Inflation is up, not down. Egg prices don't have any direct impact on measures of inflation anyway. I fully addressed your point and have proven it wrong. I explained using factual information how it was false. Your snide, off-topic snippets are just meaningless, but not only that, you're just embarrassing yourself by being consistently wrong.

Didn't you mean the S&P is plummeting?

It tanked Friday because prices came in higher than expected, as did expectations of inflation, so the Fed has to stay put.

It looks as if POTUS cannot bring prices down.

Also, Consumer Sentiment is the worst in years.

Recession if lucky, Depression if not.

And.....STAGFLATION.

After Biden inherited the carnage of 45, which resulted in inflation hitting upwards of 9%, it fell way back to just above 2% before Biden left office. It fell much faster than worldwide inflation. Now, sadly, it's on the rise again.

Even if egg prices might have come down (which they have not nationwide), would most Americans be happy to spend $thousands more for a car so long as they can pay a few $ less for eggs? How about everything MAGAs buy at Walmart? Add up all those after the tariffs.

Enjoy your eggs. Some people are so easily satisfied.

Your posts are childish. It takes months for fiscal policy changes to filter through the economy.

How embarrassing.

Why don't you just stay on topic instead of trying to insult? That's the real childish part here. In addition, inflation is higher now than when Biden left office. So it's gone up and not down under Trump.

Can you provide any factual information to support any of your false claims? You claim it's going down, but it's going up.

You can insult further if that's all you are capable of, but it has no meaningful effect on anything except showing everyone that you don't have any true information to support any of your false statements.

You also said you've visited the United States but you've provided zero information to support that. Why?

Information needs to be fact based or it's meaningless. Don't you understand that?
