I would never buy a condo in Thailand, but it certainly won’t put me off renting one in Pattaya. I would have second thoughts about Bangkok though.

Not a hope in hell have you ever noticed when Bangkok gets it’s heavy floods you see loads of vehicles up for sale obviously water damage when I visit BKK I would normally stop above the 15th floor for the view in future I will stay no higher than the 3rd floor as I don’t trust all these engineers who they claim have inspected 100s of buildings  in the last few days with only two being condemned

The superstructure of the buildings has been weakened as evidenced by the many videos showing foundation cracks and structure damage throughout the buildings. But every amateur is saying they're all perfectly safe and sound and you should sleep like a baby at night. (on the 39th floor.)

I'm not quite sure about the insurance company reaction so have to wait for their decision on covering the costs.

According to Farang condo investors everything is fine, but posts on Pantip tell quite a different story.

 

 

One YT'er I follow showed the cracks in his condo.   Lots a quick patch work going on, I would guess, to hide all the cracks in the new offerings.
