Switching from US based Netflix to Thai

Featured Replies

Greetings,

I started a netflix account back in the US back in 2013  but I now live in Thailand. Is there any downside to ditching the current US Netflix account and redoing a new one here in Thailand? It appears to be cheaper.

Thanks,

Only cheaper, I pay 169 baht here for standard and there are no ads in Thailand.

I think US charges more for ads-free.

And different TV series and movies, with more Thai and Thai language content.

Though you can get US programming with a VPN.

AFAIK.

Good, that is what I wanted to hear. Thanks!

It used to be that the content in the US is broader and more current than the content you get in Thailand. I believe that's still the case.

I switched to a Thai Netflix account because I was tired of the VPN companies trying to keep up with Netflix blocking when Netflix found the VPN IP addresses. The US Netflix content that is not on Thai Netflix can be found on BitTorrent sites.
