April 10, 2025Apr 10 Popular Post ATTENTION ALL MEMBERS: IMMIGRATION OFFICE CLOSURE FOR SONGKRAN Remember people all immigration offices in the country close at 4:30PM today (Friday the 11th) and will not re-open until 8:30AM Thursday the 17th If you have a stamp that expires on a day the immigration office is closed (weekends or holidays) and you go the very next day the immigration office is open you can get your extension like normal (you will get an overstay stamp in your passport but will not be fined) I would hazard a guess and say that ALL offices in the country will be mobbed with people next Thursday when they re-open and if you don't have to go, DON'T.. Borders are open like usual, they don't close for holidays Have a Safe & Happy Songkran everyone !!
April 11, 2025Apr 11 Hi Tod As you're the Immigration Guru - are Visit E Visas administered from Thailand or are they dealt with in the application country? Or are they processed at MFA? Hence next week will be a right off? My Question.
April 11, 2025Apr 11 E-visas are approved by the Embassy in the country of application. And as far as I am aware the embassies all follow both Thai and local holidays.

You need to go to the thai consulate website where you're applying and see what their posted holiday schedule is As Upnotover correctly stated 👍 eVisas are processed thru the embassy you apply for them thru For instance this is the embassies in the US posted holiday closure for Songkran
