Yes; ALL the the t Shirts made in Bangladesh and Cambodgia will be made next year in Us Factories by US workers (not migrants) at the same cost. Sure ! Trump is a genius !

good point.

wages are much higher ...

but no shipping internationally cuts down costs a bit?

but will people need to be trained to pay higher for goods in the name of "supporting their local economy?"

not sure how that will work exactly, but good point.

Have you any idea of the costs of shipping 10 tons of T Shirts by boat or are you joking ? But ok. Trump can put tariff of 2500% on t shirts. And what will be the cost of an american made T Shirt for the customer ?

By the way no more than 2 or 3 cents for shipping a t shirt.

The US will use AI to plan shipping routes and the boats will be unmanned and self navigating and electric, powered by Tesla!

America will crush the Cambodian competition with technology the likes of which you have never dreamed of!

Nvidia uses external suppliers for all phases of manufacturing, including wafer fabrication, assembly, testing, and packaging. Nvidia thus avoids most of the investment and production costs and risks associated with chip manufacturing, although it does sometimes directly procure some components and materials used in the production of its products (e.g., memory and substrates). Nvidia focuses its own resources on product design, quality assurance, marketing, and customer support!

Not just that, these American t-shirts will not even have any threads, they will be 3-D printed with American technology using AI. Customer service wil be Chat GPT. The cost savings will be enormous. Poor Cambodian peasants!

I wanted to counter-act a new Trump thread that just came out about how he is bankrupting the US.

So just came across this guy's theory.

Can't be bothered to watch it, but 4 D chess? What a joke, he clueless on economics (and most other subjects), quite good at bankruptcies and graft.

What game? Monopoly!

Unfortunately you and Trump seem to think that the world's economic structure is a simple game of monopoly!

It is not!

Actually, it is. Printed money not based on real value production… that is a pretty good description of the world financial domination system as it has existed since the early 20th century. Fortunately, the end is nigh.

Which is why the 20th century was an epoch of massive wealth destruction where the world economy  ended up much smaller than it began. On Oppositeworld.

The two turning points were 1913 (introduction of income tax and creation of the private banking oligarchy called The Fed) and 1973 (abandonment of the gold standard). Any endeavour to come back to the situation prior to 1913 is a good endeavour.

October 2024:

Trump floats ending the federal income tax. Here’s what that would mean
“When we were a smart country, in the 1890s … this is when the country was relatively the richest it ever was. It had all tariffs. It didn’t have an income tax,” Trump said after a barber asked whether it would be possible to jettison the federal income tax. “Now we have income taxes, and we have people that are dying. They’re paying tax, and they don’t have the money to pay the tax.”

You should know better than to quote that ignoramus. In 1890 Republicans passed the Tariff Act. It resulted in massive inflation and resulted in them being thrown out of power in the 1892 elections.

You also didn't address the question of why so the 20th century ended so much wealthier than it began.

Not long ago the OP claimed he wasn't a MAGA cult member, yet he starts one after another thread defending Trump.Sounds to me as if he also has problems with the truth.

If you sleep with the dog you get his fleas come to mind.
