Good fight.

No outrage here.

Like watching a couple of cockerels fighting while posing in front of the hens. A show of prowess in the bedroom simulation. No harm to any participants here. Just an overdrive of testosterone hormone.

Assumptions. How would they know if these were tourists with free visas? Both good boxers? Neither were good boxers. Weed a reason for fighting? Weed is usually a reason for people acting calm.

Good point about weed. I am wondering every time, when I read articles here, why people suggest, that cannabis was the reason for the problem.

It`s not.

If these 3 guys would have been stoned only with cannabis, they would not hand out such punches. Rather they would fall down on their own und their punches would not hit the target, because they would feel to dizzy.

But if people mix cannabis with alcohol and other drugs, then bad things can happen. But Cannabis alone is never the reason for such problems.

Those that never tried weed can only go by propaganda from others of the same cloth. It's usually alcohol or meth that has people going haywire.

3 whites on the brother... real classy... 😒

But when a bunch of Thais gang up on a falang, there is outrage.

But notice how the foreigners are doing the same thing here and no one barely mentions it.

Thailand, you provide the alcohol and drugs to young testosterone dudes, and don't see you are part of the problem.

Alcohol isn't going to be banned anywhere any time soon.

Every time you spend an evening in a bar, you take your chances that some sh*t-faced dude isn't going to get agressive and pick a fight with you.

Amazes me that people travel thousands of miles just to have a fight there must be ample places in their own countries for a bit of fisticuffs and save a whole bunch of money on the whole airfare thing

Looks like two White guys on one Black guy to me. 😞

The article says they were drunk. Why do people fight after they've been drinking? When I drink, I just want to go to sleep. 🙂

They are not 80 years old

Of course. Combine Phuket with Bangla Road, and it is close to hell on earth. I was first in Phuket in 1976. No resorts. A few bungalows on the beaches. Beachfront land was 1,000 baht a rai. They could not give it away.

Went back in 1986. Had developed alot, but was still very nice. Again in 1993. Far more development. Still amazing. Azure seas. Spectacular women everywhere. Great food.

Did not return until around 2008. It was degraded, for the most part. But, still decent. Good nightlife.

Again around 2014. Nowhere near the place it used to be, with a greatly diminished nightlife, but not awful.

Back again in 2023 and there was absolutely no charm left, very few attractive gals and Bangla Road was absolutely horrific, with barely a good looking girl to be found with the exception of just a couple of Go-Go's charging truly stupid money.

The primary population of tourists were Arabs, Malaysians, Indians and Russians and most of them felt like low end tourists and expats. The proliferation of Russians was too much to bear. They are SO obnoxious. No need to ever return. The charm is lost. The over development is stunning. The prices were crazy. Phuket is now worse than Bali. Yikes.

As a former resident, having lived there for 11 years, from 1999 to 2010, I agree with you completely.
My son wanted to go back again in 2023 have visited him then, but never again for me either, unfortunately.
Destroyed by the people you described but also because of the unbridled building lust of the property developers.

I am almost 80 years old and when I see the progression of the drugs you describe in the Netherlands, where it has been condoned for years, I do think it plays a very big negative role.
But it is always the people who use it and trivialise it.

People take their personalities with them. They would be dirtbags back home.

Can't really call that a brawl, non of them seem to know how to throw a proper punch. 🤣

Maybe need a bit of tuition from the likes of Angelo Dundee? Oh, but they're not boxers are they?

Bimbo

According to Wikipedia "Bimbo is slang for a conventionally attractive, sexualized naive woman.

" Guess you should've gone to Specsavers - not "native man"!

I don't KNOW what Wikipedia do you use, but my research is quite different.

Now who is going to have a specsavers visit?

You are totally out of touch. Most, if not all, incidents mentioned on AN are not happening by people using purely cannabis. It is always a mix with something else.

Also, your point about the Netherlands is ridicilous. The problems there occur through other drugs, like heroin, meth, LSD, cocaine, etc. . Not because of Cannabis.

Yeah classy white guy - only three of them. If it were Thais vs a foreigner, we'd have seen an entire group of motorbike taxi drivers pile on. Coulda been worse, and certainly not national news where I come from 🙄

100 % agree sadly why it’s a place I’ve no intention of visiting anymore either , there’s too many other nice places down south to visit without all the hassle , it was nice 20 years ago but now no thanks, Pattaya is gone the very same too !!

What odds! My first visit was 1976 and those few bungalows 🥰  Again in 1986 with our young family followed by a couple of regional sales meeting visits and witnessed the same gradual demise.

Last visit about five years ago was private and decided it was a lost cause. It seems to have got even worse in the last few years.

Bali visit late last year showed it has similar problems, but agree Phuket is definitely worse.
