I did a recent post and got confused emojis and I thought ..why? Then I realised I wrote JFK Jnr instead of RFK Jnr. And my whole post was a bit here and there. So the feedback is fine.

You'd have gotten sad and confused emojis even if you got it right.  They're inevitable on some topics.

Folks are poor because they want to be.

True but opportunities start with the parents involvement, and then the school system. If your parents aren't hard workers, no matter what they do, it's isn't ingrained into their children to do what needs to be done. If they go to a crappy school, with teachers more interested in their phones and not the education of their students, the kids get bored, and boredom isn't a good prequel to a working future. Most people here earn 20-500 baht a day unless they go to college, where they'll end up with more. People don't want to be poor. They just don't know how to make more money than what they've seen. If you don't go to college, it's hard because most don't, and the competition for any jobs is severe.

Maybe it's true that you shouldn't discuss politics and religion. I'd probably have a different sense of many posters if those topics were avoided.

Why join any forum if you aren't prepared to accept forum-facilitated responses to posts?

So we should all act like 5yos then.

Using forum facilities isn't acting like a 5-year old but starting a thread in which you're whining about emoji responses that seem to upset you could be considered to be that.  Perhaps we should all accept that some members find their use suitable when a particular post isn't worth the time it would take to type a response or would result in irrational bickering responses and I'm not necessarily referring to you.

I do know. I read up on subjects without taking sides, to see what is real and what is BS. The reason the Dems lost is because they had a weak candidate. Trump was already in office and did some good, and there will always be people who worship the rich, so voters voted for the lesser of two evils, as even Trump supporters know what kind of character he is. That he has the power to change things, along with his team, is what his voters, and the Dem voters, are waiting to see. I've seen BS since Kennedy and what promises are kept, and it's always the same. Infighting is what's killing America.

So nothing to do with the border, DEI, men in women's sports and the rest of the radical woke agenda etc, etc then? They lost purely because Harris is a cackling idiot. Harris being a weak candidate was just one thing among many.

BINGO ... we have a winner.  No different than some of my employers, in USA, treated both men & women poorly.  Because they thought they could, and did.  Simple solution, as soon as you can, stop working for them.

Nobody is forced to work for an A$$hole forever.  Live with your choices.

I find all are treated equal but disrespected in those instances.  I won't to know on a societal level, who is treated unequal, that they protests are about.

Blacks, Jews, woman, for instance, regular complainers, again, I only have USA as reference point, but race, religion and sex is protected against inequality, and I don't see that law systematically broken.  Actually the opposite at times.

Why I ask, who is being treated unequal.  Not simply mistreated by employers, they chose to remain in their employment.   But not hired because of their race, religion or sex.

My daughter has changed jobs three times, and sadly, all were hired equally, and treated equally.  Employers just happen to be Aholes.   Say one thing when hired (work hours) but expect more afterwards.   That's inequality, that's disrespect, so she moved on, and will do again.  At least she gets paid more, every time she leaves and goes elsewhere.  30k - 65k- 100k a month, and will tolerate this, till she can afford to leave, or negotiate a better contract, doubtful.

Legality, they are all being treated equally.

Harris being weak,Biden not doing much. They needed to correct things the former president's term did wrong, and they get blamed for things that they didn't start. The border has been, and will be, a problem for years to come, and no president has done much to stop illegals coming in, and never will. Americans hire these illegals, and when that's stopped, the jobs won't be there. Men in women's sports will stop and not because of a president but because of the moral thinking of those involved, seeing it as wrong.

You say you know but this is clearly incorrect. I suggest you do some research. Check out the numbers coming across the border under Trump and compare these numbers to the Biden/Harris administration.

Nah, you totally misunderstood this. Most of us are not confused over the statement or have any problem understanding the meaning of it. What mostly is confuding is how the heck the person behind the statement can posts such drivel.

Yes, there a number of sad little haters on Asean. They get a little kick by posting a sad emoji..."I showed him, muahahaha", it's pretty sad really.

Ok, I gave you one too. That had nothing to do with that I hate you. Hell, I don´t even know you. Neither has it anything to do with getting a kick out of something. How can a simple emoji do that? Lastly, it has nothing to do with showing anybody anything or believing that you put somebody in place. The simple reason for handing out a sad emoji, has it´s foundation in the laziness to not take the time to write, and that the person handing it out just think the post is sad. As there are emojis available to be used on this forum, we all have the right to use them.

Sometimes the job with an <deleted> is the only one they're qualified for, so they have to take it to survive, at least until a better one comes along, where competition might hurt her chances. There is more inequality is a developing nation than a developed one, as well as nations that have a dictator running them. Like I tell my girlfriend here, your employer isn't better than you, nor is anyone else. They just think they are. Just go to work, do what's needed, and take the cash. Most people need to kiss butt at least once in their lives, unless they were raised in money, and then thought they were one of those who thought they were better.

This has been stated many times before, and if you don't live in the US, especially in a border state, you have little idea of what the truth is. NO ONE knows how many come across daily. I lived in Texas the last 32 years before I moved here, saw many illegals coming across ranches and crossing roads down south, talked with many border patrol agents who came to my store to buy guns and ammo.

Biden allowed family members to join their families who were in the US legally, which isn't a bad thing as long as they are productive and not criminals. Biden allowed asylum for those running from a country where they could be killed, as those in Myanmar do here daily. This isn't a surprise.

Illegals come in every day, and no one knows how many. It isn't a definite amount daily, as it fluctuates, with people needing to get money to pay coyotes, coyotes needing to do their job, which is evading agents, and people who are deported looking to get more money to repeat the process. People are caught and deported daily. Again, there is no definite daily amount that comes in, as a population has a certain amount of people in it, and all don't do the same things every day, including trying to come to America to work. What you read is usually biased or plain BS,as no one knows the whole truth about the border, and his wall was a useless waste of money.

Right, so your girlfriend works in a bar.
A real man wouldn’t let his woman work as slave in that industry.

if she has such a job she probably has no education, and whose fault is that?

Most secretaries in the west make their bosses tea and coffee, how is it different?

Back in London my PA made me drinks, went out to get me coffee and sandwiches all the time.

My girlfriend works for her tesaban, a government job. She was in college a few years and worked before at CPAC, doing almost everything as she was the only woman there, and her boss didn't know how to do accounting.and is one of the smartest women I've known, even though she has no western experience. Assumption # 556 and counting Malcolm

Finally agree and yep, had to work too many of those, and a couple, learned a skill at, but decided it wasn't for me, or didn't see a future in it.

Then got a bit a paperwork behind me, that got me in the door at my first airlines.  Which was quite tolerable to work at, and why I worked for 4 of them.   Wouldn't call them career jobs, and last one finally was acceptable for a while, 13+yrs.   Until I didn't need them, or they, didn't want me around any more, and thankfully, was coincidental in timing  :cheesy:

But really had to be self employed with RE also, at the same time, to enjoy the level of income and time off that I wanted.

Living with choices.   Another 20 yrs of being an employee would have provided an OK life, I just preferred more.   More freedom of choice.

I find people don't want to put in the time and work it takes for that 'freedom', then complain things are not equal for them, for various reasons,  but are excuses, not valid reasons.

Most have equal opportunities to succeed, some just chose not to.  Again, what I see in USA & TH.

So when some looney lefties goes on about inequality, repetitively, then I may dish out a 'sad' emoji.

Damn, I'm always on topic, usually, sometimes, OK, maybe not, but I feel better.

That's an accepted thing as a secretary. Pouring constant drinks, cleaning up after them, preparing the food, taking pictures and more isn't. And they're paid quite a bit more in the west.

Answer is because it shatters the myth.

women only want equality when it suits them. Real men see through the nonsense.
