Today I just checked the internet and tried to fill in the TDAC arrival card number. But I am living in THailand for many years already and one of the questions is country of residence.

So I have to fill in Thailand, but that is NOT possible.. and it is a required field. So how  can I fill in my card ?? And when I can't do it I will get a problem at immigration  or do I have to lie

and fill in my orginal country???

Yes. the best move is to fill the country of your passport, instead.

As the town of your residence, just write the name of the place(home country) you lived last.

Regarding the phone number, just enter the phone no you got in Thailand.

Country name and phone number are not cross-referred, so no problems.

I tried mock run of that TDAC sometime ago.

And I could clear everything without any problem.

Thanks to someone else's kind advice, including the one from Upnotover.

So I finally tried to download the TDAC app.

Playstore knows that app, because when I search for TDAC i get TDAC Thailand and TDAC app Thailand, as auto correct results.

Though when click the search results there is no TDAC app to be found to download.

I tried google accounts registerd in Thailand

It is not about the app it about that as a person living in Thailand you can't fill in that you live in Thailand... So there are 2 options.. Or you fill in the wrong information or you don't do anything and let the people on the airport solve the problem.. It is just that have not been thinking that foreigners could live in Thailand too..although they do 90 days reports, address notifications etc etc..  And the option of printing the form is difficult if you are on a airport and have to fill in that form.... Easiest way is add  Kingdom of Thailand, but yeah Thailand and IT are a bad combination as I wrote before and this is another proof..

First off the entire system is not live yet as in it is not transmitting data to the thai immigration office it is only a system that people can fool with.

Secondly they already came out with an update saying that you will be able to select Thailand as your country of residence once the system goes live on April 28th.

I would post the link to the update but this forum has link posting disabled to stop spam

here's a screen grab of the pertinent information.
image.png.4deab54309e0eedf2f3ef89f5068a921.png

remember you can ONLY file a TDAC within 3 days of your arrival to thailand, AND you only need to do it if you're arriving May 1st or later

so you fooling around with it now doesn't really help you much unless you want to practice 😛

here's the link to the update, you can copy and paste it in your browser to get the info

https://www.tatnews.org/2025/04/thailand-digital-arrival-card-system-set-to-launch-on-1-may-2025/

There is no need... but I just checked where I could find the TDAC.. and I started to fill in the form, and it looked fine, However I got a problem with the country of residence, as never have seen the update you mentioned... I personally don't need it yet, just in a few months, but I may assume that the one who had developed this app should have added Thailand already instead that there is an update needed..

I find your post a bit annoying but anyway  we will see what will happen 28th of April, as as you mentioned 1st of May is too late... you need to fill in the form before entering the country...

I find your thread annoying. So now you have the site to fill in the form TDAC.

As for those folk with some  need to put country of residence being Thailand then great...

Most likely will be on the online application come May and guess what... If it's  not just put your pp country.

Not important.

I think the truth is important not fill in something... what is the use if you just fill in something to get these cards??

Which is indeed unfortunate but the information I posted is correct. the program was "turned on" (as in you can get to the website, fool around with it, and it'll even email you a TDAC confirmation)
BUT
It does not start transmitting data to the immigration side until the 28th
AND
That TAT (Tourism Authority of Thailand) update clearly says they will have fixed the "country of residence" issue when the activate it on the 28th
AND

Why would it be too late? The system goes live the 28th of April, AND you can apply any time from 72 hours before your arrival right down until you actually DO arrive here

I think you're under the false impression (as a lot of people are) that there is some imaginary rule that you have to do it 3 days before you come here 😞 There is not. You have a window of opportunity to apply from 3 days before your arrival right on down to your arrival here.

They even said there will be assistance in the arrival hall for the people who didn't do the TDAC before they got here

Seeing as you don't need to travel yet, how about you wait it out and see how it works, see what people report, etc before jumping on the "I don't like this" bandwagon? 😉

Safe travels

We will see.... I need it in September so gthere is time.. My Idea was just to mention it, as there is still time to resolve this problem.. I did not read the TATnews, as that institution is for me of no use..But I did not thought that it would give negative response, for something missing at this moment..It was just a try out for myself..and I still have my opinion that the app builder should have thought about adding Thailand in it at the beginning, but probably his idea was that Thai people don't need to fill in, and forgot that there are also emigrants and long stayers in Thailand living...

In this case, "resident" is an official designation, not just a term for where you usually live.

If Thailand is your country of residency, then you are here on a resident visa or are a citizen of Thailand. If you are not a citizen of Thailand and are here on a non-resident visa, then your residency is somewhere else.

I don't remember the source but heard that once 'Thailand' is entered as country of residence, all required information following can be skipped. Pending an update to the TDAC form official rollout.

Its not an app so there is nothing to download. Its a web page you log on to and input your information

Nonsense.  Thailand cannot be entered.  Yet.

I'm pleased that they're letting us Luddites mess with the system to identify problems before they cause real trouble.  I'm forecasting an issue in my case since I don't really have a legal "residence" any more.  My last one, I haven't seen in over 2 years.  And I'm not a legal resident where I'm staying now.  But I'm pretty sure that will all be worked out before mid-May when I actually have to file one.

If not, I'll enter my address from 2 years ago and cross my fingers.

You are not filing anything.  Just writing on a form.  Nobody will check, nobody will care.

Maybe you're right.  But I'm not willing to risk it.

So many folk over thinking this introduction of TDAC.
