A TWENTY TWO YEAR OLD driving a Ferrari in Thailand, at 2.20am?!

Uh oh!

Why on earth shouldn't he?  What are the curfew hours for 22-year olds and Ferraris?

  • If you own a Ferrari or Merc they'll test you after 48 hours.

  • 2.20 am. Assumptions that someone was drunk or they were doing a private race, just exercising for the coming formula 1 event.

  • Gee, if they were drunk forget about insurance covering it. That's sufficient punishment. Thank goodness no innocent driver or pedestrian was  injured or worse.

Cobblers.

What's this got to do with shoe repairs or Northampton Town football club?

Nothing...obviously.

34 million baht is about 1 million $ .

So "only" a 300k $ without Thai taxes. ?

You really are scraping the barrel for quoting and questioning others on this thread, aren't you?

Did I mention a curfew?

In which other society is one so young young driving such a car considered normal? I'm guessing some Middle East countries.... but this is Thailand.

Thanks for that admission - shouldn't you start a new thread if you want to talk cobblers?

A cobbler is a man who repairs shoes so cobblers are many men who repair shoes.

Northampton (UK) was famous for shoe manufacturing (before the Chinese caught on) and hence their football team has the nickname of (The) Cobblers.😀

Lou doesn't start threads, he just searches for threads he can hijack with his pedantic comments

Neither of those remarks were funny as the Ferrari owner's name is not Fiat.

So, then you know much more, and the news are totally wrong, right?

At 14:00 on 26 April, at Thammasala Police Station in Thawi Watthana district, Mr Kamol Silathong, father of the driver and owner of the Ferrari involved in a fiery collision, met with the parties affected to negotiate compensation.

The incident occurred in the early hours of 23 April at around 02:20 on Borommaratchachonnani Road, Salathammasop subdistrict, when Mr Kamol’s Ferrari collided with a Mercedes-Benz, resulting in both vehicles catching fire. A pickup truck was also damaged in the crash.

Mr Kamol revealed that an agreement had been reached with both parties. As compensation, he agreed to provide the owner of the destroyed Mercedes-Benz with a new model, a Mercedes-Benz C200 AMG, which is an upgrade from the vehicle lost in the fire. Meanwhile, the owner of the damaged pickup truck, Mr Thongpitak Saklaew, aged 51, received a monetary settlement of 55,000 baht. Both parties expressed satisfaction with the arrangements.

Investigators at Thammasala Police Station stated that the legal case remains ongoing. Authorities are awaiting forensic results before summoning the drivers of all three vehicles to face potential charges.

Mr Thongpitak, the pickup truck owner, said he had been trapped in his vehicle after the crash but was rescued by the drivers of both the Ferrari and the Mercedes-Benz, for which he expressed his gratitude.

Relatives of the Mercedes-Benz owner attended the meeting today on their behalf. However, they declined to comment on their satisfaction with the settlement.

Ok, all good then. Now it´s only the envelope left to make it all go away.

Typical Thai justice if you have money you can get away with anything  just pay everyone off and it's all ok

Any supercar dealer should require some basic driving lessons before they deliver a car. These cars are incredibly stiff and the window of traction is hard to judge. Even just hot rodding around isn't particularly easy. Ppl drive these cars like they are a glorified Camaro or beamer and they are nothing like that.
