Is Samut Prakan an option?

Featured Replies

First of all, I have a non-o visa.

I want to open a Bangkok Bank account, for which I probably need a residence certificate.

I also need to go to a DLT office.

I'm currently abroad, and would like to handle this as quickly as possible. I can imagine that I would have to wait and travel around for quite a bit if I would do this in Bangkok or Pattaya.

Is there a place, maybe near Bangkok, where all of the above mentioned issues could be arranged in 1 or 2 days without having to wait for hours on end?

Not sure what you mean by "arranged in one or two days"

You obtain a COR where you are staying.

You would need a TM30 in Bangkok (one example) in order to apply for COR.

You can make an appointment for that so there isnt much waiting "hours"

However a COR at CW will take a week to process. (They state up to 2 weeks). It is posted out 200b

You would need 2. One for COR and one for bank account.

The actual TDL is a quick process.

Make an appointment and apart from the medical certificate you are right to go.

Most transport offices have shop nearby that does the certificate.

Plenty of information in TDL forum.

You wont do all this in couple of days.

You can only obtain services from the Immigration office where you file a TM30 as residing.

At Chonburi (Jomtien), TM30 and COR in 2 hours.

Bangkok Bank Account with a non-O and a COR should be fine.

I do not know the current waiting time for a DLT appointment. It depends what you want. If using Chonburi, you have the choice of Pattaya and Sri Racha. Sri Racha is often less busy than Pattaya.

Jomtien and Pattaya are your best bet.

Check with agents to see how fast they can get a pair of CORs for you - one for the bank, and one for the DLT.   Pattaya might be the easiest/quickest option; they have agents to get you a DL fast, as well.
