Unfortunately the propaganda mills known as Fox News, News Max and the like have their viewership hooked on their scare tactic, hot button BS. A lot of slow thinking, scared and in many cases race prejudiced people drank the kool-aid with extra sugar and backed this inarticulate, sophomoric poser of a man into the highest office around. A true tragedy that will thankfully, and unfortunately inevitably end in multiple train wrecks that can't be ignored even by his most devoted fans. Then the US might have a chance of being floated back up from the depths of stupidity it's heading.
