Just a guess. Since incime letters will/are not available now from Canadian embassy then in line with UK, USA, AU etc doubt address verification will be provided.

Poor option in any event.

Obtain COR from local immigration office

Obtaining a COR from Immigration is a problem for those who prefer to use agents for their visa application where the agent supplies the funds for them, and if they also live outside either Pattaya or Bangkok. Now that many of the consulates don't supply COR's, things like driving licenses are impossible ..... Unless anybody knows different. 🤔

But the agents can provide them, that is for certain.

It was not a poor option for me, in Bangkok it was a lot easier and quicker for me to go to the Canadian Embassy than to Immigration at Chaeng Wattana.

Yeh, okay, that's fair enough. I was just stating the problem since the consulates stopped issuing them.

Not for any province they can’t.  That’s why I mentioned Pattaya and Bangkok in particular. The visas are usually stamped  ChonBuri or Bangkok, so if you Iive elsewhere, you're screwed for a COR.

I got my COR at Chaengwattana IO Building B.

It was straihgtforward. Queue number. Wait your turn. Show your passport and TM30 to the IO who deals with issuing the CORs, fill in the form, check the box for driving license and pay the fee. (I always bring 'everything' with me, all previous visa documents, residence map, etc. the whole folder). They mail it to your posted residence. Takes a few days I recall. Note you cannot renew your current license unless it is within 6 months of expiry (I got my COR too early). The COR is good for only 30 days. I will ask for another one when I go for the 90 day reporting.

For a driving licence it's not an issue, they only want an address.  I got a license with a Surin address, when I was in Pattaya.

Yes, because you had a COR from Surin. If you use an agent and your visa stamp says ChonBuri, you would not be able to get a COR for Surin.

Yes, but this is about driving licenses.  I am sure an agent can sort this out in 5 minutes.

Yes, it's about driving licenses, no, an agent cannot sort it.

I'm sure that a joke.

At CW a COR is available for 200b that includes postal delivery.

Usually 5 day turn around.

CW has now made appointments available for that.

How much did you pay at embassy?

Poor option .

@BenCrew your posts are poor advice.

Sounds like you are creating your own nightmares to live here. Agents doing your extensions and giving you a bogus bank account with 800k for the application ? Your visa extension should be done at an office where you reside, ( if not, you'll be relying on your agent for 90 day reports as well ) submit a TM30 to the immigration office where you reside. COR's then can be done easily at immigration for a DL application.
