No. The Israelites have lived in Israel  since the beginning of recorded history. Repeated expansionism and colonialism by arabs, asians, north africans and europeans, resulted in regular displacements of the israelites from their homeland. Perhaps, if humans were not so greedy and violent, things would be different.

That isn't the topic of the thread though, is it

A thread about Palestine automatically becomes a thread about both, as is clear from the 1St page of comments

The remaining Jews in Europe wanted to move out of Europe after the 2nd World War, because an awful lot of Europe had been enthusiastically slaughtering them.

The whole Israel thing was around in the near east 2500+ years ago.

The whole Christian thing was around in the near east starting 2000 years ago - it came from the Jews.

The whole Islam thing followed some 1700 years ago.

Correct. Lebanese seem to figure prominently in criminal activity in OZ.

Why the authorities continue to tolerate them, instead of sending them back to a Beirut slum, is a mystery to me.

I can't be bothered analysing figures packed together like a sardine can, if you can't be bothered presenting them in a coherent fashion.

"Australian" does not segregate white Australians from Aboriginals. Spend a day or two in Fitzroy Crossing, Bourke or Wilcannia to understand where I am coming from.

Yes, 22 yo figures are dated.

All you have to do is look at the individual columns and stats. They're in order.........Processed- Violent- Property- Drug- Other- Total. Quite easy to read, especially seeing it's the first column that matters most. It was just listed so would see that Australians themselves are responsible for most crimes in Australia. There are quite a few links if you needed more evidence. A person can spend a day anywhere and not see any crimes, or be there 5 minutes and see one. Remember how many crimes were committed by Australians against Aborigines.

its very informative!

But the guy left out Hamas Government in Gaza!

Hamas had secretly planned and coordinated since their beginnings in the Gaza strip to make war

“Since Hamas’s violent takeover of Gaza in 2007, the bustling and beautiful streets I knew have been dominated by terrorist chaos”.

Tunnel rats like the Vietcong!

The Vietcong and the Palestinians were/are fighting for a country of their own. Why are the Israeli's fighting? They have their own country, carved out of Palestine. but the Israeli's want more and more lebensraum and don't care how they get it, or who they kill to get it.

Given Israel total blockade of Gaza (A War Crime) how would it be possible?. However, I would assume the only children who would be available for adoption are war orphans who one would think would mainly be adopted by Christian organisations in Western countries. Are you against Christian humanitarian activities?

Dates are a bit off (Europeans slaughtering Jews back into the Middle Ages, Jews in Israel at least 3000 years ago, Islam arrived 1300 years ago through conquest) but your point is well taken.

Check your history books, it might give you a better understanding of what happened and why. Of course we would struggle, as other large countries also have a large military, but not near as advanced as ours. 58,000 Americans died in Vietnam and over 1,100,000 Vietnamese army and Viet Cong. 2 million civilians caught in the crossfire. Very unbalanced and we pulled out because we shouldn't have gone there in the first place, as history proved. We also withdrew in Afghanistan, after killing many Taliban, a huge percentage against US fighters lost.

And this coming from the country that got its ass kicked out of country after country, and today has a military smaller than the Rhode Island National Guard.

Whatever MalcolmB posts, if he can give vent to his hatred of Americans, he will.

And I don't understand why. There are hundreds of thousands of UK citizens living in the US for many reasons. One half of my own family is from Ireland. I suppose some are still fighting  England's loss in the Revolutionary War, the same way some are still prejudiced against Germans because of the disturbed Nazis. Every country can help and rely on all others for many reasons, and this prejudiced thinking is why there are so many innocents killed in wars.

thanks Fred, I just checked my history books.

You went into Vietnam to fight “communism”

Vietnam is still communist.

You went into to Afghanistan to fight Osama Bin Laden, who was a Saudi hiding out in Pakistan. But Saudi was too powerful with their oil and Pakistan has nukes, so Afghanistan it was.

You went into Iraq for imagined Weapons of Mass Destruction that you imagined.

Now you want to go into Greenland and Panama.

Yeah, it's weird.  Especially because the UK has benefited so enormously from the U.S. in the past 100 years.  Oh well, Thailand attracts a lot of bitter, angry old men who like to blame their lack of success in life on others (and most of them are on AseanNow 😁).  I'm not saying Malcolm is one of these guys, but I'm not saying he's not, either.

He is. A complete loser
