Yes, and you can safely bet that all of them were able to use those few dollars that they didn't have to pay to the tax man where as the rich people are not really hampered by and tax savings while they go about their spending.  a totally different game for the poor and not so well off.  Just like Trump learning about a possible recession - IF one does occur then it will not affect him nor the other rich people as they will still have money to spend wildly if desired but the lower paid people may be out of a job as their small business might be forced to close or even some big businesses are having problems too and while they are talking, nothing has been put in writing as to finished details of a new trade agreement - exactly like that with the UK, they claimed to have settled but then said it would be months probably before the finall writiten agreement was done and signed by both countries.

Yes as an American taxpayer for over 60 years, I am well aware of any tax cuts when it comes time to fill out the 1040's!

This epic stock market performance is 100% thanks to Trump. Im sure we all agree in richly praising him. Great idea to gift him a plane to thank him. Happy days!

  • Trump’s insane tariff war has altered the pre tariff supply chain and his walk back on tariffs with China will not change much. Will be enormously difficult to gain back the trust of buyers and invest

If you were a decent poster you'd refrain from flaming.

No chance of that happening.

Obviously you have been listening to the wrong/incorrect news clips - I have relatives and friends in different states and NONE of them indicates and lower prices ..yeah some say that gas is now lower but that usually happens as an economy starts dragging down and people no longer are doing a lot of driving - why? because of the lack of funds to just waste on driving around or on vacation.  Some things as they become more scarce (as the eggs did at first after culling the hens) then prices go up and that is what is happening already.  Now no ships delivering many items so girls won't even be able to get two dolls or no 5 pencils available either  But el presidente will have a 400 million dollar plane that won't allow him to fly on it as the president must use an "official" US presidential aircraft!

What a load of nonsense that was.

Two dolls or no5 pencils?? ..... lifes essentials!!

Flaming? Don't play the victim just because you didnt like what I said. You were implying that some people, ie trumps & co made a lot of money, well, you could have done it also if you were involved in stocks, but you're clearly not, so you were just complainng about something that doesn't effect you in any way.

See above...

When people complain, no matter what, they just become (as per Fetterman) a car alarm that nobody pays attention to.

We would certainly rather not pay attention to you and your 'Trump is never wrong!' modus operandi, but since you seem compelled to insert yourself in every conversation and denigrate anyone with a differing opinion as some left wing lunatic, we unfortunately have to listen to your absurd assertions time and time again. They never come with any facts. They don't have any figures and have only a tenuous grasp of any reality the vast majority of us are seeing and living in. But that's the cross you've chosen to die on so expect the more coherent and sensible on here to pull your nonsense up every single time.

So one last time (not necessarily for you as I know you won't listen). Trump starting all this tariff nonsense, he was the one that poked the bear. When markets reacted (especially the bond markets) he was forced into (yet another) backtrack of his ill-fated plan. Off he trots, cap in hand to China. Desperate for a deal (The Art of The Deal my a$$) he needed to show his 'genius' was going to be good for the American public. In the end he simply backed down and gave China what it wanted and slashed tariffs on Chinese goods from 125% to 10%, for at least 90 days. An earlier additional levy of 20% designed to punish China for its role in the fentanyl trade will remain in place, but its specificity suggests it could be negotiable. America halved a separate 120% tariff on e-commerce packages valued below $800 which enter America via a separate “de-minimis” customs regime (https://www.economist.com/china/2025/05/13/a-great-trade-victory-over-america-is-being-celebrated-in-china). And what did China give in return? A reciprocal 10% on American goods. Some deal making that. And Trump and the Trump loyalists like yourself think for some bizarre reason it's a win.

It reminds me of that rather apt analogy about the pigeon - “Never play chess with a pigeon. The pigeon just knocks all the pieces over, then $hits all over the board and struts around like it won.”

well you sound like the president - that is what he said when they cited him and he said that it was just cheap junk anyway and a waste of money.  Yeah if you heard his original comment, mr rich guy says he remembed a young girl with 30 dolls - probably his daughter at a young age  as they were rich and I am sure he bought whatever she wanted for Xmas. IMHO but who is he to determine what one would buy as a Xmas present for their kids - what everyone is trying to wake him up to see that people instead of having great jobs and lots of money, they won't have any money to buy anything or that the shelves will be empty to begin with.  IMHO typical rich guy could care less what the economy does as he is rich and can afford whatever he wants anyway so who cares about the poor, as they are nothing but losers in his mind.
