Hotels In Krabi

Featured Replies

My (Thai) wife and I would like to take a break in Krabi. I've looked at various hotels on the Internet and they all look good but, what are they really like?

Can anyone recommend a garden setting type hotel, adjacent to beach, good Thai food restaurant, preferably separate bungalow, villa accomodation. Up to Baht 4000 pn with breakfast is OK. Oh! and don't forget the bar. One or two I've seen are really good looking but are Moslem owned and have no bar! :o We are both 60 plus so a relaxing locations preferred. I will have car so access not a problem.

thanks

Maybe you should consider Railay Bay Beach in Krabi... but then you cannot go by car :o

Standard at Railay Bay is a bit backpacker style. Most of the resorts are same standard.

Regards, Robert

have been to SABAI RESORT recently.

It's very very nice italian owned (almost new built) resort with separate very nice furnished bungalows around quiet garden location + pool. Restaurant with italian and thai kitchen. no bar but some beach bars close by.

Note, this resort is NOT to be found in Krabi centre but since you've got a car, no prob ... it's about 5 minutes driving.

As far as I've seen beaches around Krabi they are all not soo pretty (by means of size) so you'd rather take a longtail to one of those hundreds of islands ashore.

Rooms rates (May 2004) have been around Bht 1.400,00 including aircon/fridge.

IN CASE you book pls give greetings from Wolfi, austria (no, i do NOT get commission from them but the owners where real nice and attending)....

If you want a stunning beach then Railay is your place. The Westside more resort like- there is "sand and sea resort" and "railay bay" East side is backpackers. but Railay Sunrise Tropical is nice. Everybody gathers on the westside bars in the evening for happy hour.

I wouldnt recomended it in high season. TOO MANY PEOPLE! But right now its real nice.

You can park your car in either Krabi or Ao nang and take a long tail over. Shorter trip is from Ao nang. Watch the weather though....

Other than that I would suggest Ao Nang. Krabi Town has no beach. :o

i have always stayed atthe Ao nang Beach resort. Clean place, beachview room was @ 2400 baht/nite. Walk across the street and you are at the beach.

There are cheapier rooms for @ 1800 baht/nite but do not have a view.

If you looking for a dream holidays I do recommend 'rayavadee premeir resort' very very nice place to stay, almost a private beach with 'Pha nang cave' expensive but worth an experience.
