Maga-style parties given bloody nose in European elections

Featured Replies

It seems that the MAGAs' (and some Brexiteers') wet dream,  about a wave of MAGA style RW parties conquering Europe, is not happening.

"When The Telegraph sat down with Romania’s far-Right candidate for the presidential elections, he proudly proclaimed that “the wave of the Maga movement is here in Europe”.

But on Monday morning, George Simion was licking his wounds after suffering defeat to a pro-EU centrist, with similar election results also filtering in from Portugal and Poland.

On Sunday, three EU member states held crucial elections seen as a test for the political centre, with pro-Donald Trump, Right-wing candidates hoping to import his cut-throat style to the continent.

But the tactic hasn’t worked."

Just as well. If any non globalist shill wins elections they will be blackballed and leave democracy in tatters with endless reruns and shenannigans like in Germany and elsewhere.

Its lefty wokery or the highway in Europe, a truly doomed continent.

You are making up stuff again. There are no endless reruns and coalitions have been made in accordance with constitutions and electoral laws. 😆

Unlike your claim, this is not about elections.

It's about the European left forcing revotes when they don't get their evil way. Like I claimed and you falsely said was something I made up. Just take the L.

Says Durov.

So you don't even believe your trusted Reuters now, because I posted it

No. Russia was caught trying to manipulate the Romanian election results. The constitutional court annulled the vote after declassified intelligence documents revealed an alleged Russian influence operation, including multiple cyber-attacks on the electoral IT system and “massive” social media meddling in Georgescu’s favour. As reported in the Guardian 25 April 2025.

The  Romanian people voted and gave the centrist candidate a  victory. Even in the revised election, tThe support for the right wing candidate was coming from voters who did not live in Romania.

The Polish candidate who is leading is a conservative centrist and hardly a liberal.

The Portugal election shows that the conservative centrists are leading, while the extreme right wing party saw a decrease in support.

It is infantile and dishonest to describe centrists, and moderate conservative parties as leftwing.

Reuters does nothing more than citing Durov. It doesn't confirm nor reject it.

So you prefer straight up election denial Trump style instead?

Yes, how can we even suggest honest Vlad would engage in such a thing. Preposterous!

Yes. The evidence presented to the Romanian Constitutional Court was overwhelming.

The average maga, doesn't care about Europe.

Your post (and this thread) was about elections, not about referendums on European treaties.

We don't really have MAGA style parties in Europe or Britain as we have nobody with the Charisma or personality of Trump. Can you imagine ANYONE getting excited about Starmer?

Who said the elections were fair ?
