Why gloat about fellow men or women having their lives thrown down the drain for victimless crimes? All kinds of foul play happens at airports with checked in luggage, even if it is not obvious that it was the case here. It could happen to you.

Although length of stay wasn't given and the weight seems too high, nobody takes 40+ KGS of luggage on a 'visa run'. 

If the drugs were planted then grass up who you think did it because they didn't care about you, however, i would hazard a guess she knew what was going on.

The bags weighed almost as much as she  (100+pounds -US weight ) weighs.

No way a person could  NOT feel the weight difference even with a wheeled suitcase.

As stated minus the 46 kilo drug weight she would not have needed 2 suitcases. To state those who planted the drugs were meant to meet her in Sri Lanka but did not turn up does hint at knowledge of the contents.

Not a chance of that! The baggage handling area is probably the most secure part of the airport and for good reason. It's the most likely area where an explosive devise might be secreted on to an aircraft. Baggage handlers go through rigorous security checks, going into and out off the area. 

 

The baggage goes through intensive automated X-ray screening for explosives automatically and only if it gets flagged at that point does it come under more intensive scrutiny.

 

I did read in The Guardian yesterday: 'Of the 750 smugglers arrested at airports in 2024, the NCA said that 460 had arrived from Thailand'. Obviously outbound drugs are not their main concern.

 Lee claimed that those who allegedly arranged the drug drop-off were supposed to meet her in Sri Lanka, a meeting that never occurred.

I am sure she never knew what she was carrying ,only 46 Kg in 2 suitcases ,she never thought Oh 1

that's a lot heavier than when I arrived ,I will have to pay excess baggage ,I must have bought a

lot of dresses ......     Don't do the crime  if you cannot do the time...
