Popular Post webfact Posted yesterday at 12:00 AM Popular Post Posted yesterday at 12:00 AM Thaksin Shinawatra //File photo Thailand's former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra has launched a stinging critique against the Medical Council for what he claims is a breach of ethical standards. This comes as a response to the council’s disciplinary actions against three doctors over his previous hospital treatment while serving a prison sentence. Thaksin asserts that there has been a leak from the council's Line group, showing members expressing disapproval towards him, highlighting what he suggests are deep-rooted ethical issues within the council. Thaksin's remarks were prompted by enquiries regarding the Medical Council’s recent decision to discipline two doctors from the Police General Hospital (PGH) and one from the Corrections Department’s hospital. These doctors were found culpable for providing false information and failing to adhere to medical standards during Thaksin's stay on the PGH's 14th floor. He argues that the council's actions, if compliant with ethical guidelines, would pose no problems. Moreover, Thaksin eyes Public Health Minister Somsak Thepsuthin as a pivotal figure in this debacle due to his role as the special chair of the Medical Council. He urges Somsak to deliberate thoroughly on whether to uphold or overturn the council’s ruling against the medics involved. The medical practitioners are accused of misrepresenting Thaksin's condition, thereby failing to meet the expected professional benchmarks. In an additional development, the Supreme Court’s Criminal Division for Political Office Holders is set to scrutinise the enforcement of Thaksin’s prison sentence by the Corrections Department on June 13th. Thaksin advised against anticipating a swift resolution and refrained from predicting the outcome of this legal scrutiny, keeping cards close to his chest as events continue to unfold. Overall, the former premier's allegations bring to light a cauldron of ethical debates and administrative scrutiny amidst ongoing legal proceedings, leaving authority figures to tread carefully. Popular Post thesetat Posted yesterday at 12:18 AM Popular Post Posted yesterday at 12:18 AM Looks like Thaksin is trying to shift attention again to the details of the evidence they had to discipline these doctors by making it into a political statement against him personally. He name a few who oppose his power and what he says but forgets that the medical council is a board with many who voted based on evidence to punish those doctors and remove their licenses. Also he seems to forget to mention that even the schools that educated those doctors have agreed with the council decision to punish those doctors after reviewing medical records. 41 doctors from the school where they learned to be a doctor. So with Thaksin now complaining it means he is trying to divert attention or use this as a defence to fight in his hearing about it. 2 1 7

Popular Post ikke1959 Posted 22 hours ago Popular Post Posted 22 hours ago I think if there was nothing to hide Thaksin would not be afraid of publishing these details, but now the truth will come out, he must do everything he can to protect his corruption policies... Blaming others for their own mistakes is common in Thailand so Thaksin is not better.. Reveal the truth and accept the consequences... Sometimes you win, this time you loose 3 1 1

And the Armitis and Neckitis almost killed him for sure! On his deathbed I hear, just moaning that he wants to spend his last days with his grandchildren and never waste his time with politics ever again. But for the grace of Buddha, excellent doctors (whom he now scourges), and months in a penthouse hospital wing, he no doubt would have lost both the arm and the neck. Thank Buddha!!! IT'S A MIRACLE!!! HALLELUJAH! And by the grace of Buddha he now has the strength and stamina to re-enter politics again and to save Thailand in the name of the poor!!! A TRUE MIRACLE!!! 1 1 2 2

renaissanc Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago It is public knowledge and/or belief that Thaksin cheated the system. He must have distributed a lot of pastry boxes so that he could return to Thailand without going to jail, and under the pretext that he was seriously ill with medical conditions that miraculously disappeared when it was time to leave the hospital suite. Now he seems to be upset that he is being exposed. 1
