Conspiracy is more powerful than religion, and if you combined those to, you are in position to overthrow governments,

I think it was Nixon who labelled Timothy Leary a dangerous man.

At one point, maybe I was too distrustful of govts, so I would have thought that if the govt labelled his as dangerous, he must be on to something.

But having done a bit of digging into his writings and having matured a bit, I find that some of the stuff he advocates are very dangerous.

So sometimes the govt is not entirely on the up and up, but sometimes they are genuinely trying to help people.

So conspiracies can be harmful at times and always thinking the govt is out to get you is not healthy.

Sometimes, some other charlatan is out to get you.

Back in the day, the Government and the Establishment were on the same side, and it was easy to be a Rebel.

I would say Trump supporters can become a major problem. The anger and revenge

Sure glad the Marxist Democrats don't fit the mold of violent people.  Have your eyes been open the last 5 or 6 years?

TRUMP and his ridiculous cabinet of Fox tv people.

That we are now in the POST TRUTH WORLD is related to many severe problems not being able to be rationally addressed.

As is shown here the biggest threat is the guy or gal we see in the mirror.

IT IS HUMAITY ITSELF.

We say Islam is bad but look in history at the chaos Chritianity caused.

The fact that people now can not have a sensible discussion when they differ.

A good example is trans in womens sports.  The U.S. is going crazy with this and the joke is that it is only 10 people that we are talking about.

People are killing each other simply because they disagree with what is said.

Families can not have gatherings because some are republicans and some are DEM.

Population collapse is the real issue facing humanity, followed by the effect humans are having on the ecosystem.

Unfortunately, even though population collapse will end humanity as we know it, people still think there are too many people.  The reality is we have too many people who have no real value and because of religion we are unable to do what is required to engineer a more perfect society.

I said in another thread: Conspiracy is more powerful than religion, and if you combined those to, you are in position to overthrow governments, you just need to feed the masses with what you want them to believe with help from fast social media and algorithm.

So I asked AI

The relationship between conspiracy theories and religion is complex and multifaceted. Some studies suggest a correlation between religiosity and a higher tendency to believe in conspiracy theories, potentially due to shared identity and norms within religious groups, which can lead to distrust of external authorities. However, it's also argued that both religious and non-religious individuals may be drawn to conspiracy theories for different reasons, and that religious fundamentalism may play a role in conspiracy thinking. Additionally, the internet and social media have amplified the spread of conspiracy theories, potentially affecting religious communities as well.

Google search of researches done, and surprisingly not much, but there is some results.

Living in a post truth world is a big reason that Trump the most corrupt, most lying, most incompetent president in American history got elected.

As this topic is in The Lounge, the biggest threat on AN is Bob starting another new personality.

Trump, who grows more deranged every day--and has the nerve to talk about Biden's mental state.   By the way, I just 'invented' that new word deranged.  Isn't it beautiful?
