Is This The Beginning of The End of The American Empire?

Featured Replies

This video just came into my feeds on Youtube.

Guy seems smart and non-partisan. He's not even American, sounds Australian.

He already mentions an interesting point.

Why did Russia invade Ukraine to begin with? Because Putin knew the US would do nothing about it.

Then mentions Trump isn't the first president to start "wrecking" the system that the US has built since WW2.

Need to run some errands. Will watch the entire video later and comment.

But if anyone else watches, pls share your comments.

  • Wow, what a profound answer. I can see you've given that a lot of thought.

  • Only if the leftists commies get their way

  • Because the US amassed Ukrainian troops and US weapons on the border.   When it got past the point of being a mere serious but existential thread he had to act.   This was so clear

European sentiment against 'The Empire':

President Trump's threat of a 20% tariff on the EU—tied to accusations that Europeans aren't buying enough American goods—may have backfired.

Apps like Brandsnap, developed by Dutch entrepreneurs Gerben Houtsma and Xander Kanon, are helping European consumers find local alternatives to American products.

'Even though they could afford more expensive US products and services, they consciously choose alternatives,' the ECB stated.

Interesting find.

Wonder if it's a globalist elite strategy (not just Trump, but WEF Klaus and company) to reduce global trade for climate change.

Also, Covid showed that too much dependence on global trade can cause shortages. So the elites are creating a system of less interdependence?

And Trump is reducing taxes on American cars purchased by Americans. How many people gave that a thought growing up that it would benefit their own country to buy an American car? Probably not many. How many of you on here owned a Japanese car or two?

They have been calling out the end of the American Empire since the 1980s. Francis Fukuyama claimed the end of history. They were all wrong.

How can it possibly be the end of America when America is rich beyond belief, has a military that is stronger than ever and its culture is more dominant than ever?

Well, here we go with all the Trump "Bashers!" The only problem I see is that the USA must pay off its deficit-Period. The "Big and Beautiful Bill" just does not do it just adds to it!!

So? The US assets, value of all companies, real estate, GDP which comes in each year, dwarves it. The US could pass a tax a wipe out the deficit in a few years.

But there is no need because the deficit is not like a private individual owing money, nobody is going to knock on America's door and demand money back.

Yeah, but not for the reasons you think.  That video won't help ya.

The mistake is thinking 'The Empire' is the US, it's actually Europe and they are not a force for good.

Even after taking on China in a full on trade war only 2 of the 3 rating agencies  changed the ratings. One from AAA to Aa1.

Do you seriously think US based rating agencies, owned by Americans, who make their money disproportionately from US investment banks would issue ratings that are absolutely terrible? I somehow doubt it.

And even if that happens it would just make interest somewhat higher, sure. But nobody is going to storm Washington to demand any money back.

It's not like if an individual owes money where someone comes to collect your furniture.

Plus the US can radically reduce its expenditure on unemployment benefits, medicare, and government operations, as indeed has started already.

Perhaps that would significantly increase political and social dissent and unrest, often a key component in the collapse of "empires".

I'm not a member of anything.

I never used to like Trump much.

But then I noticed a pattern of unwarranted attacks on him on this forum and I started backing up Trump just to counter all the attacks.

If is a tricky situation, where everyone owns something, and everyone trying to keep it alive as long as possible afraid to lose their share.

I think the guy in the video is referring to "defaulting on the debt" as a major issue.

but secession has come up in other videos i've seen. breaking up into smaller countries. Texas is one state that might secede if it ever happens.

so for what reasons then, smarty pants?

There are many parallels between the fall of Rome and where Murikkka is currently headed, and the differences are fast eroding away with this current administration.

And you KNOW who will give me any of those cute little red "thumbs down" thingies. They sport similarly colored hats.

Like moths to a flame.

Im called maga because I despise the American dems more than the Republicans. Even though I have made that abundantly clear on many occasions. It never seems to sink in.

I voted liberal a few months ago in the provincial election here in Canada.
