God's Waiting Room

Featured Replies

I can't shake the feeling that I'm waiting to die here. It gets worse the older I get.  Some people call it 'God's Waiting Room'.

Move ?

On the off chance that someone is interested you could state whereabouts in Thailand you are and what makes you feel that way.

Joined eight hours ago and posted this. I suggest you have a nice cup of tea and a lie down. I'm 91 and my number should be way before yours. But you can go before me if you so desire.

Have you thought of being a motivational speaker?

And what do you think happens after you die?

Have you been a decent human being most of your life? Or is your shadow taller than your soul as you wind on down the road?

FFS, Bob, how many new profiles are you going to create in one minute? It seems the more time goes on, the more unhinged you become. Are you totally off your head or did you just break up with your ladyboy girlfriend again?

I thought Thailand was Buddha's waiting room.

I would like to die when I no longer have quality of life.

I knew a 92 yo in Chiang Mai who topped himself when he was going irreversibly blind. While he had a good woman caring for him, I can understand why he did.

So, as you get older you feel closer to death ...

Indeed, very trollish material. And congrats to you, btw sir; very impressive!

Of the remotest chance that the op is legit, I would say to this individual, 'have at it', let it come and smile while you move on. That is the only way for it is inevitable. The chance of there being some kind of 'waiting room' to be judged would be nonsensical, since there is no datum to base it off of... i.e. we as humans are born dumb and have no cue or history to go by. We don't know how to be 'good' etc. That a soul may know better would be immaterial--and that absolutely could be a thing--but that is not the point. Thus, if you do end up the punished, then, in short, your god is a callous cnt and we are all the Fkt! 🙂

Nice place to wait to die.  I'm chilling with it.  You hit your mid-70s, outlived your own parents age-wise, death's coming. So enjoy the wait.  Well unless you're a nihilist and believe it all ends in the annihilation of consciousness, then you're probably too scared to enjoy the wait.  "Eat, Drink, and Be Merry!"

In the meanwhile, here's some "Waitin' Room Music."

bob smith - did you just reinvent yourself again you old devil?

In many cases of the posters here it would be “Lucifer's Waiting Room“.

Pretty definitely a Bob thread, enough replies and no further input from the OP. Is this a one man show or is there a coterie sharing wind-up ideas.?

Some people call it 'God's Waiting Room'

Once one has reached a certain age, one is in a "waiting room" no matter where you are. A waiting room under palm trees is preferrable over a drafty bedsit.

Before we were born we were dead for a very long time. After we are dead we will be dead for a very long time again. So, most of the universal time WE ARE DEAD ANYWAY. To be mostly dead is normal.

I am ready to go at any moment: it will happen sooner or later, so I am ready. I do not believe there is anything out there, except worms that will feed on my unprecious flesh.
