Financial Stress lowers your IQ by a lot!!!!! 50%???????

Featured Replies

“Being financially stressed costs 13 IQ points and that can take someone with average intelligence down to a category called ‘broadline deficient’.

Just Google this quote, and you will find the study.   This explains a lot!!!!!  Emotional IQ probably goes down by 50%, Expats likely see a drop by 25% or much, much more.

This is why it's super important to make sure your "friends" have millions in their account before you talk to them about anything.   If not, weather, sports, food, Trump, that's good for the low-IQers.   Then run.

Remember, first solve the money problem.   Number 1.

Then educate yourself.   Maybe become a lawyer in your 60's, that's possible.

You are either getting smarter or more dumberableness (this will make sense to some, sadly)

This is why you must support your bar girl with 100,000 a month.  Then her/his IQ will rise!!!

If you ALSO don't sleep well, then forget about it.   5 - 4 x 5 + 3 divided by 3 will become impossible.  Order of operations, yea, I lost you.

Do all the Sudoku you want, IQ test, games, whatever........money is more important.

I bought 10 wheels of chess, wine, peanut butter, cereal, beef (Australian, not good 'ol American Number 1 stuff), etc.... and do you know how much that cost?  I don't, I just scan and go.   IQ stable.

I really didn't want to Google this fact, but I'm not surprised.    Growing up with your back against the wall cannot be fun.   Terrible.   Makes all our 1st world problems meaningless and might even embarass ourselves if we are honest about what we complained about growing up.   Mom, I said I wanted two scoops of Rocky Road!!!!   Brat kid, spoiled.   Yea, makes you think.  Anyhow, back to the farangs!!!!!!!   lol

In 2021, 9.9% of children in Thailand lived in poverty, a rate significantly higher than the overall population's 6.3%, according to the National Economic and Development Council. One in ten Thai children under five experience severe food poverty, threatening their health and development, according to UNICEF. This poverty is also linked to malnutrition and stunted growth, with 13% of children under five being stunted and 7% underweight.

That explains a lot.  Many people here seem to think about Trump 24/7.

Yes, there are several on here.  Instead of waking up checking and managing their non existent portfolios, they think about Trump.  Go to sleep, think about Trump. It all seems like an addictive mental illness being fixated on one person.

I mixed with a lot of rich kids in secondary college.

Being rich did not make them smarter, some were as dumb as rocks.

I grew up around rich kids. I went to school with rich kids.  Some so rich you could sit and watch the NY Stock Exchange ticker for a few minutes and see symbols go by of companies started by their grandfathers.

As for how dumb some of them could be?  Hard to categorize. Some were short of smart, some were really smart, some were just average, and , as you say, some really were dumb as rocks.  Sort of like real life.

I observed an interesting phenomenon when I worked in Port Hedland many years ago. After a year or so in the local school, white parents who could afford it would send their kids to boarding schools in Perth.

The reason given was the kids were being dragged down in language skills by the Aboriginal kids, who mostly communicated in pidgin.

It does make you more stupid is often why it becomes a downward spiral when someone loses a job, burns out etc too.

But financial stress is caused by low IQ!

How do you get financial stress? Make a list of all the ways and it will be a summary of how a stupid person lives their life.

Being raised by smart parents goes a long way but it can be squandered. I saw plenty of that myself.

So a genious w/ IQ = 160

becomes idiot of IQ = 80.?

5 5

True, I went to one of the most expensive schools in the world, nobody was stupid. 🤔
