I just had a look at the sectors employing undocumented immigrants.

Actually, construction is the largest employer. Will illegals working in construction be arrested  as they are not mentioned by Trump? :coffee1:

Interesting. This was 2022. I wonder what the figures for 2024 look like.

You posted it. Why didn't you post something more up to date. I simply said I wonder what the figures are now. Did you not realise what you posted were 2022 figures?

That's what I found.

Fair enough. I reckon the numbers would be a lot more for 2024. Maybe going down now ICE is doing their job albeit with massive resistance from the Dems in their sanctuary states.

No. Complete rubbish but nothing more than would be expected from you. Masked men grabbing grannies off the street. The MSM level of the syndrome rhetoric.

The masked agents are specific to certain surveillance operations. Most stops are by unmasked agents.  Those who are masked do so because of the need for personal safety. The courts allow for it. If some  people were not so intent on targeting LEO for retaliation, there would be no need.

The point was not the number, but the industry sectors employing most of them. I doubt that changed much.

Yes he did, but most of his pretending to be a tough dictator has backfired, about turns in abundance....🤔

Crazy stuff for a President of the USA, embarrassing too........😬

You are correct in saying 'pretending' as he is an actor. All of these politicians are. I call it Hollywood for ugly folk. If Trump was a bit better looking and a bit of a better actor he could have got the Tom Cruise/Brad Pitt type gig, but anyway don't let any of that bamboozle you from the reality that Modern Liberalism is still in full swing in the West and nothing much has changed.

Speaking as an American, I can pretty much guarantee that most Americans are not interested in taking most of the jobs currently being held by the various undocumented workers from foreign countries.

Have you ever tried picking lettuce in the fields day in and day out for 12 hours a day?  How about cleaning the toilets and mopping the floors in a hotel?  Or washing the dishes in a restaurant day in and day out?

You wanna go to America and apply for those kinds of jobs?

I worked on a dairy putting in 12 hr days, I've cleaned toilets, mopped floors and had 2 separate jobs washing dishes. What's your point?

And I worked an apple orchard in Upstate NY picking apples alongside US blacks and Jamaicans. Those guys were making double minimum wage picking.

Americans are just becoming lazier but letting illegals flood the country isn't the answer.

President Donald Trump signaled on Thursday that “changes are coming” to his immigration policy, noting that farmers as well as hotel and leisure businesses have complained about his “very aggressive” crackdown on illegal immigrants.

In a post on Truth Social, the president said that he’s heard from farmers and people in the hotel industry who are concerned about the administration’s immigration crackdown “taking very good, long time workers away from them, with those jobs being almost impossible to replace.” Trump added that the United States must deport criminals while also protecting farmers.

So, he's letting these criminals stay?

He must save the Burito

So how much will the wages have to increase to entice the average Joe to move to a farm?

Double perhaps.

Of course this will sharply increase the cost of food produce for the US consumer.

Are they prepared to pay?

So, are you saying it's ok to pay people sh#tty wages? Typical left wing double standard.

No, I haven't expressed any view on the wages. I'm just asking you how much you think the wages have to increase to persuade Americans to work on a farm

Well I guess if people who disagree with your views are libtards then I guess it’s ok to call you a fascist/nazi ?the fact of the matter is the vast majority of migrants are dependable on time hard working folks keeping their heads down nose to the grinding stone trying to improve their and their children’s lives.I know because I’ve known a few.obviously the problem is more nuanced.

And because they are illegal they have to accept substandard wages.  I'm for good wages for Americans and immigrants who come to America the legal way.

According to EVENKEEL, he was working with US blacks and Jamaicans making double minimum wage. So why do these legal people not want the work now?

One reason could be it's far from their homes and friends.

Unlike the immigrant who by his very action of migrating is driven by a motivation to make money, the resident citizen considers various factors when taking a job.

Farmers have the same problems in the UK. UK residents don't want to live on a windswept farm in a caravan, working hard physically far from home.

Well in new Hampshire very cheap place to live apparently you can get by on $7.25 per hour. Every time minimum wage is mentioned congress and the senate block it I wonder why?

I really didn't believe that MAGA people have the intelligence of 8 year old children, until I read all the comments on here supporting throwing out farm workers and "increasing" the pay so that Americans can fill those jobs.

The "pay" would effectively DOUBLE from the illegal workers current pay, to American minimum salaries.

That, would effectively DOUBLE the cost of most of your food, almost instantly.  Are you people insane, or just completely ignorant and/or brain dead?

Sure you are. You are not fooling anyone. You are just trying to incite and upset, pretending to be a  supporter. I believe that you want people to believe that Trump's supporters are mental deficients predisposed to violence and extremist views.

Because the  people who pay the low wages do not want to pay higher wages.

The  offshoring of  manufacturing occurred in large part because of  wage  differences.

My oh my. Your attempt to  provoke and to incite suggest that you are anything but a supporter of President Trump. You are  pushing a political agenda intended to antagonize and to destabilize. You showed  up just to  show your "outrage".  Intelligent people will not respond, although I am sure some gullible fool will take the bait.  The  consideration by the Trump administration  shows a willingness to listen to concerns.  It  won't help your intent of trying to sow discord and upset, but it is the  logical way to address some of the issues. So, where are your actual allegiances? Russia? China? Iran? Are you even a US citizen?

He's just a troll enjoying winding posters up.

Boy oh boy. Did you just give yourself away. But you're right. I'm not a Trump supporter. I'm a MAGA supporter. I believe in its principles. And people like you give ammunition to the lefties claiming that MAGA supporters are fascists when you follow President Trump  through every twist and turn. How is his justification for retreating on deportation different from what the lefties have been saying all along? Do you think that they were right, after all?

You’re the one with a low grasp of economics, finance and basic math.

Did you not realize that labor costs average approximately 13% of the total cost or are you just completely ignorant and/or brain dead?

the States is clogged up by the millions allowed to cross the border under the previous administrations handling of the borders. If it wasn't for the Biden/Harris approach of effectively opening the borders resulting in a free for all crossings this situation would not exist. Of course the loony left has to play the victim and blame card instead of admitting to the absolute insanity of previous governments approach to having "secure" borders.

The left are still living in your head rent free. Get over it. Trump was elected 7 months ago, he owns this shtshow now.

US manufacturers complain there's a shortage of US workers willing to take their jobs in the cities near residents' homes, why does anyone think those same workers would want to work far from home, trapped on a farm?

Money isn't the sole issue deterring them.
