And through it all, now into the second page of this thread, AFAICT, not a single Trump fan poster here has made any substantive comment decrying this clear act of politically motivated domestic terrorism... (two people were shot and killed, and two others wounded).

 

Instead, just bunches of nonsense posts disputing the suspect's party affiliation and trying to make hay of the fact he happened to be a Gov. Walz appointee to a state workforce development board -- which from all evidence produced thus far, had absolutely nothing to do with what led him to allegedly kill and wound Democratic state lawmakers.

 

Instead, the bulk of the news reporting thus far has made it clear the suspect was/is:

Thanks for all the updates they also found his car personal belongings all about a 45 minute drive from the crime scene,I wonder how old the wifes car is if it’s fairly new it’s quite possible that its movements can be tracked vis its computer.that is if it’s being investigated competently.the whole thing is heartbreaking sad 😞

Political affiliation does not make it politically motivated. CNN is reaching trying to pin this reason as to why this man killed those people.

I don't think there's any news report anywhere in  this thread that says this guy's alleged actions were "motivated" by Trump. And I've certainly never said that here. You're creating that unsupported notion on your own.

 

Saying someone is/was a supporter of something doesn't necessarily translate into that being their motivation for acting, though it might! Time well tell....

 

What we have done here, is report this guy's various affiliations as best as they've become known thus far... Trump supporter, conservative Republican, devout Christian, anti-abortionist, gun owner.  Of course, people who fit into one of the above categories also often fit into others of them at the same time.

 

What I did post earlier in this thread was just the opposite in fact of what you're claiming.  I posted that based on the evidence that has publicly surfaced thus far, it appears that his main motivation was his anti-abortion views.

 

Now that the suspect has been apprehended, it certainly will be interesting to hear more about what the evidence in the case will show were his true motivations.

 

I do, however, personally agree with Jing's comment above that Trump in general has coarsened the political debate in the U.S., by his various actions invited and encouraged lawlessness (fight, fight), shown his willingness to excuse criminal violence (the J6 pardons), a willingness to disregard legal bounds (deportations contrary to court orders), ginning up his supporters with blatantly false and inflammatory claims (Haitian immigrants eating pets), and a penchant for attacking his political foes instead of engaging in the traditional political process.  In my personal opinion, he's overall made politics in the U.S. a more dangerous and vitriolic domain.

 

Was that part of what drove the alleged attacker here?  I have no idea based on the evidence produced thus far.  My prior post below on the suspect here's apparent motivation:

The attacks/shootings of the Minnesota state lawmakers and their spouses were indeed "political assassinations." No way around that, whatever the specific driving motivation(s) end up being shown to be.

 

Even Trump, of all people, publicly condemned the attacks -- something the Trump fan posters here still have been unwilling / unable to do...  At least Trump is "saying" the right things for public consumption:
