Absolute garbage.

I am the one who always is advocating for those who had a couple of drinks to take extra care on the roads and observe the road safety signs.

The signs the that you can not read.

I have a flawless driving record in Thailand unlike yourself that has been in more than one accident here.

Anyone that's had a couple of drinks should take a taxi, driving impaired is being highly irresponsible and dangerous.

Why would you tell others to be careful when it's you that's a dangerous driver?

How do you know I can't understand what signs mean? Do you not realize that most of the foreigners here can't read Thai but get along quite well on the roads?

I know you can not read them and important safety signs because you are illiterate.
I read the road signs and don’t get involved in accidents.

You can’t read them and are in multiple accidents.

Go ask your girlfriend or daughter to translate the important safety sign for you below.

And then get back to me.

Calling someone who's intelligence is far above your own illiterate doesn't fare well for you.

Calling someone illiterate because they can't read another language is plain stupidity.

Bragging that you can read another language without any proof is  ludicrous.

The two accidents I was in here are where someone ran into me or drove in front of me  without looking, totally their fault, so that's another assumption added to the multitude you're shown on this forum.

Again, since it's over your head. Safety signs here are the same as everywhere else. Those two there have nothing to do with general safety on the road you're on. If you continue straight or turn left, there are always signs in English and international that show warnings. Seeing you drive drunk, it's actually you that's a hundred fold more dangerous than I'll ever be.

Malcolm, when you have the balls to talk to people like this in person, let me know, because acting like a petulant coward online doesn't amount to anything. You have absolutely no idea what you're dealing with, because you've never encountered it before. Your schoolboy angst doesn't work with adults, especially ones who have seen your kind all their lives. This links for you..............

Tourists visiting Spain primarily come from other European countries, with the United Kingdom and France being the top source markets. Other significant contributors include Germany, Italy, and the Nordic countries.

Authorities in the north eastern Spanish city said around 600 people joined the demonstration there, some firing water pistols or setting off coloured smoke and putting stickers saying 'Neighbourhood self-defence, tourist go home' on shop windows and hotels.

Probably why South America is so fugged up... the spaniards have a great culture, food, language etc but are a fickle bunch nonetheless.

Spanish colonialism: Mexico, Argentina, Colombia etc lol

British colonialism: US, Canada, Oz (never mind), NZ etc

Massive difference in mindset. Alright, the US is all over the shop of late and Oz is, well, Oz (never mind), but the mindset in having a go at tourists is proper Spain. Not the sharpest tools in the shed.

You have confused the direction signs on the right with the safety sign that is on the right.

Proves my point that you wouldn’t know safety sign if you fell over it.

That someone has a self belief that they don’t need to read the safety signs on the road is part of the problem.

If it did come to that there would only be three hits in it Fred.

Me hitting you, you hitting the ground and the ambulance hitting 120.

I do not dispute that there is a problem with a subset of tourists. There was just another incident of  drunkards on a junket to Ibiza. However, harassing polite law abiding visitors is not going to fix the problem. Not mentioned is Spain's influx of economic migrants and refugees, It has granted asylum to approx. 1 million migrants over the past 4 years. They have to live somewhere and they are  competing for low cost housing.

If there is a problem with some tourists, go after them, and not the quality tourists.  Blaming the tourists is a cop out, an easy way to ignore the source of some of the problem, the Spaniards themselves. The landlords are allegedly  prioritising foreigners over "locals" because the landlords can get higher rents. Go after the landlords who do it then.  The remedy for excessive rent increases is rent controls that require the landlord to file their rent increases with a rental regulator. It is done in other jurisdictions and protects the tenants.  There are complaints of apartments being converted to short term rentals and Air BNB. The solution then is to require such rentals to be registered and to pay the taxes that they are most likely  avoiding now. If there are too many airbnbs in a building, the  number allowed can be  limited. This is done  elsewhere.  It all gets down to Spanish people  wanting to make a profit and/or to avoid taxes. That's not the  tourists' fault.

If tourists are disorderly or litter, then issue tickets and fine them. If they brawl and cause damage, arrest and hold them until they pay the damages. This would require the Spanish police to  actually do something other than sit in speed traps,  and hang out in the station drinking coffee.

I guess this is teaching the Spanish about their problems, like European teaching Americans about their problems.

Or someone here teaching the Scandinavians men about their brainwashed feminist problems 😉

There is a mixed problem where there always be those who embraces it and those who hates it. Just depends how far you can distance yourself from those who are impacted by the reality of uncontrolled tourism.

Even the middle class Thais starts to get fed up by the tourism and offended by the western tourism, not to mention other Asians.

Seems like I do know about safety signs, as I've driven here daily with no problems besides those two accidents which weren't my fault. They didn't have anything to do with signs but incompetent local drivers, ones which I've had to avoid countless times driving here with their reckless behavior.  I didn't say you didn't have to read safety signs. I said expats can understand basic safety here from the signs that are international ones. The safety sign on the left isn't going to affect any expats as basic safety is already followed by safe drivers anywhere. You drive the posted speed limits and look for warning signs and hazardous conditions, which are international in design, you won't have a problem.

Really? I know Thai women that have multiple guys that are out of the country sending them money.

Going back about 38 years ago, I knew a Thai woman that worked in a Japanese bar on soi Thaniya in Bangkok. She had four or five Japanese sugar daddies. If any planned visits clashed, she would make an excuse for one of them to delay tgheir visit. She was making a tonne of money. 80 percent of the year, those guys weren't even here.

The Spaniards killing the goose that lays the golden eggs. After they drive away the tourists, those demonstrating crowds will demand government hand-outs which the goverment will not be able to pay: Spain is a country without natural resources and with few profitable industries.

Like I said, you have no idea. It's best not to assume you have to "mansplain" to someone you've never met. It  shows that you've never had a confrontation with anyone outside of high school, as no one that talks like you do has ever come up against anyone like me. If you did you would have learned not to again.
