Jaythekol Posted June 25 Posted June 25 I have been trasnferring funds to my KBank account for year however since beginning June it does not work anymore. Does anyone else have this problem too and how to fix ?
Popular Post Caldera Posted June 25 Popular Post Posted June 25 How does it manifest that it doesn't work anymore? Does WISE refuse to process the transaction or does Kasikorn Bank bounce the funds? First I've ever heard of WISE problems with Kasikorn Bank! 2 4 2
Popular Post Upnotover Posted June 25 Popular Post Posted June 25 What did Wise say when you asked them? 2 1 1
0ffshore360 Posted June 25 Posted June 25 I had a delayed transfer last month that initially Wise suggested it was my Thai Bank but my Thai Bank said it was an issue with Wise which turned out to be true and I received an apology. No explanation but it was the first time I had made a transfer with the updated reformatted online template which had already nominated "reason for transfer" contrary to my usual given reason and a very subtle clickable field change "button" which I subsequently noted on next transfer. 1

They don't send your money at all. I did a Wise UK to Kbank myself last week, 7 seconds, but that means nothing of course and these reports are getting more frequent. I'd try another transfer, 10,000 or so, just to test the system.

It says the account details are incorrect eventhough I entered the same name, address and account number as always. Checking wih the KBank they said everything fine
KannikaP Posted June 25 Posted June 25 Two months ago, my Mrs & I opened a Joint account at Bkk Bank, and when I tried WISE, the dosh was returned saying Incorrect Bank Data, because I had simply left MY name as the recipient. I now send it to my original single account, and transfer to Joint as soon as it arrives. Some may ask why have a Joint account. So that when I pop my clogs, she can legally withdraw from it without waiting for probate.
Popular Post scubascuba3 Posted June 25 Popular Post Posted June 25 Good reason to have several bank accounts, problem with one, move to the next. Get more detail from both Wise and Kasikorn why it was returned 2 1

PatThaiM Posted June 25 Posted June 25 I did a transfer last Friday to a Thai persons Kasikorn account.
LittleBear57 Posted June 27 Posted June 27 Just transfered 1k today to my personal kasikorn account it was there in seconds. Sorry looks like the problem is with your set up with wise. 1

And in practice, once the money has been withdrawn, it just vanishes. 2
BWPattaya Posted June 27 Posted June 27 I did a Wise transfer to Karakoram earlier today. Just took a few seconds. 2
Cameroni Posted June 27 Posted June 27 Sometimes when people try to send money from outside Thailand to my Wise account, they cannot use the "same day transfer" option. If they choose the "normal" option it works. Wise doesn't support expedited transfers in the EU for some reason, for some banks, anyway.
crazykopite Posted June 27 Posted June 27 I did a transfer a few days ago from Wise to Kasikorn it was there within 3 minutes 1
CanadaSam Posted June 27 Posted June 27 I think this is a troll, or bob (same thing?). Because he says he has been doing this for a year, then later says: On 6/25/2025 at 4:47 PM, Jaythekol said: I entered the same name, address and account number as always. Anybody using Wise knows they do not enter the "same" details every time, because you save your own Thai bank details, and only click transfer to yourself every time, and it should go through like every other time. He does not specify what steps he took to rectify the problem, only that a vague problem exists. Let's see "his" future posts to determine if this is just a time waster.

Previously worked, now it bounces saying account details don't match (they do, and no details have been changed). Haven't been to the bank to try and fix it yet, wondering if it will work if I delete the payee in the Wise account and then set it up again.

I would have thought that there would have been a mismatch between their account name as probably recorded in Thai script by Kasikorn and that recorded in Latin script when you presumably set them up as a new Wise recipient, which might have caused the transfer to be rejected at the final hurdle by Kasikorn. A test transfer of just under 400THB which I initiated to my Thai wife a couple of days ago has not shown up in her Bangkok Bank account for likely this very reason (I had received an email from Wise confirming that the money was on its way to them). I have alerted Wise to the need IMHO for it to be possible for Thai names to be stated in Thai script when setting up new recipients given the increasing importance now being given by Thai banks to the reconciliation of account names. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear from the reply I've received that this will be happening any time soon.

If the payee in question is a Thai national, might this also be down to the Thai v Latin script account holder's name issue I've alluded to?
