Update: links for retirement extension forms at CW: TM.7, STM.2, STM.9, STM.11, criteria ...

Featured Replies

Retirement extension at CW now requires these forms.  The STM.2, STM.9 and STM.11 are normally given to you when you check in.  There is a fillable .docx version of the TM.7 out there somewhere (it must be saved to PDF to print properly).  The rest I just fill in with Acrobat, then sign in ink.

The online "Criteria" form does not have an extra stamp for "received a copy ..." signatures on page 3.  It does not require any applicant details, though.

I provided a Google Map with address typed in the margin, and building labeled.   As usual, no TM.30, no lease, bank letter day before, most recent bankbook update 2 months ago (fixed account).   I think they threw away the 90-day confirmation page I had in my bundle.  Excellent appointment service as always -- go directly to the L1 window, no ticket required.

Thanks for report + links to forms.

Regarding the FD account.

No photocopies of pages etc

What does "most recent update 2 months ago" Mean.

When I was using FD at CW I would update on day of application by way of making a deposit.

Sorry, yes, the usual copies of bankbook & passport pages, and arrival slip.

  • What does "most recent update 2 months ago" Mean.

I have never gotten a letter the day of, and I have never made a deposit since opening the account 20+ years ago.  Interest is posted every three months, and the posting date is the last entry that shows up in my bankbook.  Only questioned once years ago (by a new IO), and straightened out by her boss.

Relying on the quarterly up-dates in the (fixed acct) bank book could be risky, at least at Immo/CW.

To be safe, as Dr. Jack recommends, you should update the bank book on the day you are applying for an extension (retirement)  by depositing/withdrawing a nominal amount to generate an entry in the bank book.

It is no trouble to do so, since you also have to go to the bank to get the account verification letter and annual bank statement.

Since my fixed account is with SCB,  I go to the nearest SCB branch on the morning when I process my annual extension to do the bank book update, letter confirming the account balance, and annual statement.

It costs me 400 baht and has never failed.

Uh, ok, just sayin' I've done it this way at CW for 20+ years.  The balance letter is 100 baht from KB, and I have never even seen an annual statement.

CW has not been open for 20 years, it was Suan Phlu until about 2009

Very kind of you, but I download the most recent online forms the day of my application and always have to fill in their "new form" when I get to the IO???????

Right you are.  I did it this way at Suan Phlu the first five years or so.   Main point being that I have never made a deposit after opening my fixed account, nor gotten a letter on the day of my extension.

Yes, same same. Coming to Immigration with pre filled STM 2+9 I always get new ones to fill in on side and signing in front of the IO.

Yep....every single time....555

I brought in STM.2, STM.9, and a copy (from last year) of the unnumbered "Statement ..." form that does not seem to be available on line.

The Statement form was thrown away, and replaced with the STM.11 (which apparently they filled out for me).  I think I only had to sign the STM.11 and the Criteria forms.

On the way out I asked for a new set, and was given TM.7, STM.2, 9, and 11, and the signature-only Criteria for Consideration of ...  form.

You can just do a B/F - Balance Forward, no need to deposit/withdraw.

In preparation for my next marriage Extension mid of this month I went to Hua Hin Immigration to ask for the latest Paperwork. You need now TM7,STM2,STM9,STM10 (a new one named Affidavit of Family Relationship to Thai National) and STM11. You can fill in all details in the STM Form but signature must be done in front of Immigration Officer.

That's what I did on first extension (still on it) with SCB. Even though no branch at CW, they have many close by and I just updated my passbook and got the letters on the spot that day. SCB very efficient (so far).

I download my forms on the day of my application......still wrong by the time I get to the IO.

Thanks for your comment re marriage extension in Hua Hin.   The other forms are linked above.  This is the current link to STM 10:

But do the STM forms used by Hua Hin exactly match those used by CW, though? I mention this because the STM2 and STM9 forms which I had to complete when applying for my latest retirement extension at Rayong a couple of weeks ago included a small box in the bottom left-hand corner acknowledging receipt of a copy through a further signature and date. And you're supposed to sign and date this acknowledgement at the same time as signing and dating the form itself! Morever, you're not given a copy of your submitted STM form in any case at Rayong!!

Only Hua Hin can say.  But for the record, I asked for a set of blank forms when leaving CW a couple of months ago, and they matched the online STM forms.  The only difference was the online Criteria for consideration form (see at top), which did not have a stamp at bottom for an extra signature.  I suspect that they will stamp it in the office if it's required.

What time does your SCB branch open in the morning?

After finishing your business there, how late / what time to you end up arriving BKK CW using that approach?

Thai bank branches seem to be all over the map when it comes to how long it takes them to produce a deposit verification letter.

At the Krungsri branch at BKK CW a couple of years ago, I showed up before their opening time of 8:30 am, was like 2nd in line, and it took them more than 45 minutes to generate the letter, with them saying they needed to do something with their head office. They made me late for what I thought was going to be a reasonable 9 am Immigration appointment.

In more recent years, I use my home area Krungsri branch a couple of days before my Immigration appointment, and it usually seems to take them an hour or two from the time I make the request. But unlike the BKK CW Krungsri branch, my local branch isn't doing Immigration deposit letters every day of the week, so I can understand them being a bit slower... But at least I don't have to worry about them making me late for my same day Immigration appointment.

Can anyone report a recent experience on this point at BKK CW.....

I "think" the last time I was there a year ago, I had all my statement forms filled out and SIGNED in advance... And those were accepted.... But after all the ensuing time that's passed, my memory on that detail is a bit fuzzy.

Just wanted to say "thanks very much" to the OP for posting the links to the latest versions of the various BKK CW Immigration "statement" forms.

It's always an adventure going to BKK CW every year and finding out amid the morning rush/crush that they've changed to a new version of the same form from the prior year, or in the case of this year, added an entirely new form and apparently deleted/discarded the generic un-numbered "Statement" form that they'd been using for years.

I'd never found the weblinks for the misc. "statement" forms before. So now, with the weblinks for those bookmarked, hopefully, at least I'll have access to any new versions of them that they post before my next annual visit!  🙂

Unfortunately, simply having access to the forms is no guarantee.  Many offices have their own version, or they require that they be printed double sided, or that they are not printed double sided.  Invariably it will be the way that you get the form that they do not accept.  But at least you'll have it filled out so you can fill in the copy they hand you quickly by looking at yours!

Yes, what you say is true...  As I said above, it's always an "adventure".

But, in my case, I'm in BKK and have to deal with Imm. Div I at BKK CW, and it's their website and document repository that the OP has linked to above... So at least the likelihood of a match between what's online and what the IOs are actually using is probably better than elsewhere.

Looking forward to your trip report.
