In a heartfelt appeal, a Phuket restaurateur named Win Mungkon is turning to social media in a quest to retrieve his missing pet cat. CCTV footage captured two foreign men taking the beloved feline from outside his restaurant, Ko Bank Ped Yang, located in the Rang Hill area of Phuket.

Win, who had been caring for the previously stray tabby for over two years, took to social media on July 13, seeking any information about the men and urging them to return his pet. The incident has attracted significant attention, with Win sharing images of the light yellow-eyed tabby, though details such as the cat’s gender remain unspecified.

The situation unfolded when the two men were seen engaging playfully with the cat before taking it with them in a black Toyota sedan, registered as กษ 2524. There's speculation about whether the car was owned by the men or merely a rental. Win has wisely been advised by netizens to reach out to local car rental companies that might hold clues to the vehicle’s occupants.

Win’s public plea included contact details for anyone with information: 080-542-7001. His plight echoes a similar unfortunate incident in Phuket last year, when another man was caught on CCTV taking a white cat named Konmek. That case ended without the return of the cat, amid suspicions and unresolved questions.

The community's response has been one of empathy and support, rallying around Win to aid in the cat’s safe return. The story also sheds light on a broader issue of pet safety and resonates with pet owners who empathise with Win’s distress.

While Win awaits further developments, his efforts serve as a poignant reminder to remain vigilant about pet safety, especially in areas frequented by both locals and tourists. His plea continues to circulate online, garnering attention and hopeful leads.

This touching narrative of Win's bond with his once-stray companion underlines the power of community action and social media in addressing personal and unexpected challenges. The search for the tabby remains a pressing concern for Win and supportive netizens alike.

As the hunt for answers continues, the hope is for a happy reunion. The community remains on the lookout, eager to assist in bringing the cat back to its rightful home.

They probably mistook the at for a stray....

At least the cat is taken by westerners , so unlikely to be eaten.

I think the foreigners thought the cat was a stray. The Police will be able to trace the car to their home address. They should have asked around first, though, if the cat had an owner.

Foreigners just after any pussy they can get.

It's not entirely false. :licklips:
