You people can't even read what you are posting.  12 months, and he's been president for less than 6 months.

Might want to wait for individual country tariffs to actually go into effect before trying to blame them for any inflation.

@CallumWK groceries, 2.4% over past 12 months :cheesy:

Now the few MAGA posters on here who always claim tariffs don't create inflation hopefully will be silenced.

Let's see how it further accelerates in the following months, because this is just the start, after importers have worked through their extensive stockpiles, which they purchased before the tariffs were enforced.

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/inflation-accelerates-in-june-as-investors-eye-tariff-related-price-increases-123643223.html

Inflation accelerates in June as investors eye tariff-related price increases

The latest data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics showed that the Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased 2.7% on an annual basis in June, an uptick from May's 2.4% gain, driven by a reversal in falling gas prices. Economists had expected headline inflation to come in at 2.6%.

On a monthly basis, prices rose 0.3% compared to May's 0.1% uptick, matching economists' estimates.

On a "core" basis, which excludes volatile food and energy costs, CPI rose 2.9% over the past year in June, ahead of May's 2.8%. Monthly core prices increased 0.2%, also ahead of the prior month's 0.1% gain.

Just like you I want Trump to fail.   I’m rooting for high inflation, mass layoffs, and I hope for another Great recession.

You MAGA cult can't even understand what is published.

Inflation figures are always calculated on an annual basis.

Inflation was decreasing under Biden's last 6 months, and is again increasing under your cult leader.

I'm sure that laughing emoji you add to about every post of yours, is that you are laughing with your own ignorance

Oh yea, Biden did a great job with inflation.   The most so far this century :cheesy:

And we all know even those numbers are BS low :coffee1:

Thanks for showing your ignorance again, and adding the laughing emoji, to acknowledge it.

Biden's term was during the covid years, a once in a lifetime event, and there was not a single country in the world that didn't experience a skyrocketing inflation during those years.

First cases started showing up late 2019, early 2020, and yet, 2020 inflation was one of the lowest.  Couldn't be Biden's silly policies that effected inflation.

Business shut downs already in affect March 2020.  What changed in 2021, oh yea, Biden was sworn in.

I do?  Certainlly I have my criticisms, but I dont just post gleefully about the purported failings of the leader.  I didnt vote for him, but he is still my PM, and I wish him the best. Both for my country and my fellow citizens.

2022 was a year of global inflation for reasons everyone knows...:coffee1:

So according to your meme, inflation was lower at the end of Biden's mandate, when economic conditions were similar, than now under Trump. Did I read well?

Since when does a price increase of 2.4% mean 'bringing prices down'?

Read it right, prices have increased 0.1% since Oct last year.   Considering inflation in Nov & Dec 2024, was much higher than the COLA in Oct 2024, means in reality, President Trump did actually bring inflation down.

See if you can read this correctly ... get back to me in Oct 2025, when they release the fake low inflation rate for COLA.

You are obviously not good at maths, and still believe whatever B.S. Trump tells you! 🤣

Here's the calculation for you.

- CPI on Jan 2025: 317.671
- CPI on Jun 2025: 321.465
- Inflation Rate:
  $$\frac{321.465 - 317.671}{317.671} \times 100 \approx 1.19\%$$

So, U.S. inflation rose approximately 1.19% over the first half of 2025.
