I've got 800K in the bank that I usually let sit year-round.  However this year due to "technical difficulties" with Wise, I may need to use some of those funds temporarily, as in for a couple weeks.  Just asking for confirmation of these points:

1.  I can apply for extension (in Korat) 30 days in advance of current extension expiry (45 days at CW).

2.  I may apply for extension up to expiration date, but not recommended.

3.  800K must remain in the account 90 days after extension renewal, and 60 days prior to extension application.

That is prior to application, NOT end of the current extension.

4.  From 90 days after renewal to 60 days before extension application, balance may drop no lower than 400K.

So if my current extension expires 30 November, I can apply any time after 30 October until expiration.

If I decide to apply 15 November, then my 400K balance must be increased to 800K before 15 September.

Your points are correct.

It's actually months (not 60 days etc)

prior to application and three months after application.

Not below 400k in other months.

Yes point 2 .. application can be up till expiry of current permission of stay.

Ah, then my conclusion above is wrong!  It should be this:

So if my current extension expires 30 November, I can apply any time after 30 October until expiration.

If I decide to apply 15 November, then my 400K balance must be increased to 800K before 15 August.

So sorry. Typo.

It's 2 months prior to application and 3 months after application that the minimum is 800k

Edit: I will correct my post so others not confused by my post.

Leave your quote correction intact.

Doc, I think we're both dyslexic!

(4) At least 2 months prior to the filing date and 3 months after being granted permission, an alien must have a deposit in a commercial bank located in Thailand of no less than 800,000 baht.  After being granted permission for 3 months, an alien can withdraw the said deposit and must have the remaining balance in the bank account of no less than 400,000 baht

You going for an extension just for yourself and 80OK must remain in your account and then mention 400K permission and that is the case if reason married to a Thai.
Which is it?

For retirement it's 800k two months and 3 months after application.

Not below 400k in other months.

It's just a coincidence that it's 400k for marriage two months prior to application.
