Second floor main building at the cnx io between 8:30am and 12:00 noon. The entrance door is on the right, west side of the building. Last heard was 500฿ next day, though it may not be available every day.

thanks @novacova

I’ll make sure Monday isn’t a public holiday and take a trip down in the morning 🙂

I’ll take passport, copy of passport, copy of TM-30, yellow book / copy, and a handful of 100 THB notes - hopefully that will cover all eventualities 😉

Take your wife's Blue Book too if relevant. as they can be awkward .

Maybe get a yellow house book which brings this particular paperwork to a screeching end; no visits to nowhere and no fees

He says that he has a yellow book.

In which case he shouldn't need a certificate of residence.

Perhaps he is color blind and he mean his wife's blue book.

I'm keen to find out how it goes because I need to get one next week.

I'm hoping for the 500 thb expedited route too.

To renew a 5Yr driver's license in Chiang Mai is the Yellow Book indeed accepted in lieu of a residence certificate?

When I last renewed mine in Pattaya, they would not accept the yellow book in lieu of a residence certificate.

not colour blind, definitely a yellow book but it has my name and address in Thai script 😉

the U.K. passport folks will only accept a yellow book as proof of residence if the name and address details are in English

When I got a new passport earlier this year, VFS told me they could accept a copy of the yellow book with a translation, which the translation company can self certify (MFA certification not needed) I went down a different route in the end, using a letter from a UK accountant to my home address in Thailand as evidence of my address, which was accepted. If you do have a translation done, make sure that they copy exactly your name from your passport.
