Democrats Expand Lead in 2026 Congressional Forecast

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that if the elections for Congress were held today, 46% of Likely U.S. Voters would vote for the Democratic candidate, while 42% would vote for the Republican. Four percent (4%) say they would vote for some other candidate, while another eight percent (8%) are not sure. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

That marks a net three-point gain for Democrats since May, when they led by a single point, 45% to 44%. Perhaps more troubling for Republicans, they now stand a net seven points worse than they did before last November’s election, when they led by three points (48% to 45%) and won just a razor-thin House majority.

This isn't good news for those of us who support the true MAGA program. But there's still plenty time to turn this around. Congress can start by supporting release of all the Epstein info.

I think it’s great news.

More so when the impact on ‘purple districts’ is examined.

Unfortunately, The major polo that most consistently gives the strongest result for Republicans is Rasmussen.

Remember the time the hivemind relied on "dicky" polls to convince themselves in an almighty circle-jerk their candidate had a 99.9% certainty of winning the 2016 election? That ended just like this will, with much tears and throwing toys out of prams😅

Bad news for democrats far more concerning but they're too stupid to realize it. Out of touch with reality more concerned with Trump hatred than running the country. Democrats are losers and prove it every freakin day.

Running the country? It's Trump and his posse of clowns that are running the country (into the ground), buddy. Not the Dems.

Jesus on a turnip, you've really lost it!

I have no doubt that the Republicans are going to lose the House and Senate 2026.

I personally had hopes that Trump would bring "The Change You Can Believe In," that Obama promised but didn't deliver.
He IS bringing change, but it is so chaotic that I'm sure that he doesn't have a clue.  Global detente and diplomacy doesn't run like a capitalistic predatory business.  He promised to stop war, but instead he's funding and fueling it; he promised fiscal and monetary reform, we get a massive spending bill and another $5 trillion in national debt; he promised to release the Epstein List, and now claims there is no list. He promised to deport illegal immigrants, but many now "special" illegal immigrants - like the one's working in Trump's restaurant and caring for his golf courses and making beds in his hotels - well, maybe THOSE illegals should be granted amnesty.

Too much chaotic "leadership."  So when people go to vote on Nov 3rd 2026, the Democrats will again take control of the House and Senate, not because their better than Republicans, just because voters are ried of chaos.  They'll start tearing apart everything Trump and Republicans implemented - and then? The Democrats just bring a different type of chaos and corruption to the table, and they, like the Republicans, don't give a good god-da*m what the citizens of the United State actually want.  Real serious chaos will be the name of the game.  Our Republic will be again on the knife-edge of civil war, and then watch the US pretty much declare war on all countries in the world that aren't allies of the US, and who knows, maybe them too.  Like Greenland and Canada which Trump seems to covet. And of course, Russian, China, Iran, DPRK, all countries with Shia Muslim populations, BRICS, and most of the global South.  The only problem?  The US ain't going to pull off a multi-front world war without resorting to nukes.  Sooooooo?  Nukes it will be.

Yep - it should be...interesting.  "May you live in interesting times."   And "So long and thanks for all the fish."

Yes. An honest posting.

It's a lot worse than that, a lot of polls show that Trump's popularity is tanking, and that many of his policies are considered to be failing.

Rasemussen is right-leaning. It's been consistently showing higher Trump ratings than the other polls over years! 🤣

This is a generic ballot.   What matters is the local races.   The Dems are way behind from the last midterms.

I'm not sure how you can claim the country is being run into the ground.  Please provide some examples.
