Totally agree. The boat crossings would stop immediately if this were to be implemented. Or even better, build a secure detention centre on the Falklands for those seeking asylum. They managed to build the Nightingale hospitals during Covid in a matter of weeks, so why not pop-up detention centres in offshore British territories? And make them secure so the locals don't have to worry about girls and women being harassed, molested and worse. But let's remember, Starmer is an ex Human Rights lawyer. All his old lawyer pals are raking in the money while the UK remains the most attractive place to go for migrants. That's probably why Starmer seems happy to let this continue. After all he'll be looking for a job once he gets kicked out of office.
