Yes, isn't it just? I just thought I would get ahead of the sad, anonymous members that worry about the significance of emojis on an anonymous internet forum. You know who you are.

So rile up a large number of drunk youngsters then send them out to find Cambodians?

You think a club full of indians will be off to beat up some cambo's ?

Never been to one of these Indian-themed nightclubs. Now one more reason not to go in the future. Who needs this nationalist nonsense in a nightclub?

Or anywhere.

One way to escalate tensions.

In a display of unity and national pride, the “Jalwa Club,” a popular Indian-themed nightclub on Walking Street in Pattaya, electrified the night with the resounding sound of the Thai national anthem. The unusual gesture took place amid growing tensions along the Thai-Cambodian border.

As the anthem echoed through the club’s vibrant interior, Thai and foreign tourists alike stood together, many waving Thai flags and singing. The atmosphere, typically reserved for revelry and dance, was transformed into a moment of solemn solidarity.

The patriotic tribute was organised to boost morale and express support for Thai military personnel and civilians stationed in the increasingly volatile border zones. With reports of clashes and heightened military readiness dominating national headlines, the nightclub’s act was welcomed by many as a heartfelt message of encouragement to those on the frontline.

“We want to show that the whole nation is behind our soldiers and the people in the conflict areas,” said a staff member at Jalwa Club. “Even here in Pattaya, we feel the need to stand together.”

The impromptu anthem performance drew praise on social media, with video clips quickly going viral and being widely shared by netizens expressing admiration for the show of national unity during a difficult time.

To encourage them to fight harder? A bit "over" for me

The nationalism works on both sides.

I guess there must be many thousands of Cambodians working around Pattaya. If they see this jingoism, that might mean a few of them decide to make places like this a target.

Did you notice that in a "display of national unity and pride", both front windows of the UK Prime Minister's residence at #10 Downing Street were adorned with large English flags as they welcomed the England women's Euro Cup winning team for a reception? This is the very same flag that the right-wing nut jobs drape themselves in during the violent, ant-immigrant protests at the Bell Hotel in Epping.

Not surprising really as it's the flag of England.

That's an inarguable fact. The Downing Street display is all about national pride, but are the masked guys wearing it as a cape during violent protests doing anything much for national unity?

The patriotic tribute was organised........

So much better than a spontaneous outburst. A high end nightclub judging from the front row dress code.
