If they let me sleep past 7 am, it will be a good sign. I'll be able to tend the cattle without looking up at every detonation.

8:30am and I'm having my morning coffee in a relatively calm and quiet surrounding.

Let's give it a full day to see if the ceasefire holds tru or not.

Everyone living in Thailand should be thanking Trump. The last US president wouldn't have done a damn thing

I'm sure he would have done something. Probably would  have set up an emergency call to Taiwan asking why they're attacking Canada.

Good to see / hear. I'm waiting for Donald Trump to take the credit for facilitating and bringing about the Cease Fire. He is such a pompous ass.  Can't stand that moron.

...and he is not the subject of this thread either.

Why so pessimistic? Missing the excitement over there?

Regardless, stay safe.

But no Thai replies as far as I can tell from here in Prasat (many despatched from close by & very alarming to the inexperienced).

Plenty of return fire and additional "reminders" from mobile mortars and 155 guns next door to my house. I'd forgotten how it is at night with the mortars. Loud bang at launch but can't see the projectile compared to the 155.

it didn't last long. Still shooting at each other this morning.

Citation or anecdotal?

He probably will, although he doesn't need to because the leaders of Cambodia, Malaysia, and Thailand all specifically gave him credit for helping get to a ceasefire. So, then why shouldn't he? It's a fair political talking point granted from all sides of the conflict.

Are you talking in the present tense or responding to another member about what has been going on up until midnight last night?

Stay safe.

Me too. Woke this morning at 1 minute past 0400 as a low rumble rumbled in the distance. Got out of bed to check the time.  Then woke again around 0615 as some even more distant rumbles rumbled. I find my brain is now highly tuned to even the softest of rumbles..

Im here too in the thick of it.  I heard big random rain drops on the tin roof during the night...In my half sleeping state, I nearly threw the family in the truck LOL

Also, if people would stop "BOOM BOOM BOOM" fireworks for people dying, that would ease my nerves....

Will it takes a regime change or one generation until they can trust each other again??

Again?

You think that they previously trusted each other?

Good update, thanks. As usual, maybe not everyone got the memo, or if they did, they didn't agree with it.

Stay safe.

As it was said before, just before any ceasefire in any conflict the world has seen, there will always be a barrage of artillery fire in order to pound the point that any continuation will be met with greater force.

It's a sad truth but real. You asked why I am pessimistic, my answer is that I am not but I am realistic. Something that certain people develop while serving and seeing the harsh reality in front of you.

Well, it's not only about the "politicians", but ordinary people. The last days to see Cambodians being punched only because of their birth place is terrible.

He'll have the Gaza strip and Ukraine fixed tomorrow.

I always thought Orange would have fixed the conflict in Ukraine as early as 2 days after his inauguration?
Or am I wrong?

Hun Sen and Hun manet need to go, like North Korea, it's not good to be breeding generations of dictators with ever-increasing sociopathic tendencies.

I was trying to figure out who all these Trump cheerboys remind me of. And then I remembered a joke from Soviet times:

Winter will pass, summer will come — thanks to Stalin for that.

Qatar will be the best place for it, look how they helped the talks between the Israeli, Palestinians and

the US.
