Well the real issue is the fact that Thais are less hung up about sex than Westerners, and having an affair, or getting some action elsewhere, is not comparable in weight than it is in the West. I remember a cousin of mine was married a long time ago, and her husband would occasionally go to a massage parlor, and she found out about it and not only did she divorce him, but she shamed him with the entire extended family, and I remember people acting as if it was a very, very big deal. The reality is that he was a very nice man, and he was a good provider, and I do not think something comparable to that would happen that.
