How long is the proof of bank funds valid 4 Pattaya immigration?

Featured Replies

Hello all,

Quick question for anyone who has recently renewed their retirement visa at the Pattaya immigration office.

How long is the proof of bank funds valid for? I know some places can be particular about the dates.

Is it okay to get the bank letter and update my bank book the day before I go to immigration? Or is it safer to do it on the same day as my renewal to make sure it's as fresh as possible?

Any recent experience would be a great help! Thanks!

No problem in obtaining Bank Letter and 12 month bank statement in days prior to application.

As for update, do that on day of application. A small deposit updates bank book and shows activity in account.

Regards 12 month bank statement some immigration offices accept photocopies of bank book pages back till last extension.

Some want bank statements.

Bank statements bullet proof (200b)

In Ubon the bank book move, the bank letter, and the 12-month statement must all be dated the same morning of the extension request.

That's just stupid but not surprised as some offices use their own rules.

Must be difficult for those using BBL as with that bank your need to obtain the 12 month statement prior to application date.

Both the bank letter and 12 month bank statement are valid for 7 days.

Best to obtain them day or two prior

unless you deal with Ubon.

Of course there will be others.

Why?

It's stamped, signed and dated the day you collect it, which in my case is the morning of submission.

At larger busier offices perhaps. Many of the smaller IO's insist on same day updates.

The OP is dealing with Jomtien.

From threads folk dealing with that office bank statement and letter accepted if obtained days prior.

Jomtien.

Previous day ok.

Do a transaction that day.

Absolutely no need to do a transaction on application day with a previous day lettter.

Probably a Friday letter for a Monday application would be ok too.

Bring bank book to show if asked.

I can't speak to doing it two days or more old.

Since I almost never agree with @Jingthing  on anything, I must say here I certainly do.

I have never been asked for an updated book (I get the bank letter the day before) and never had to show savings acc. statement (I use FD account for the 800K).

And Dr., I promise to take two aspirin and call you in the morning!
