Application for Non-O 90 day visa at Savannakeht

Featured Replies

I am soon off to Savannakhet to get a 90-day marriage visa. In reading the process, it seems a bit daunting, so I am asking here the full story on how 'you' got on with it. Uploading info etc in LOS, including time having to be spent in Laos.

Thank you.....🤗

This won't assist much as can't find the first hand report (thread) I was looking for.

First up the process time is very quick. You can do preparation prior to entering Laos.

As soon as in Laos do your application eVisa and you need to attend consulate to pay application fee. You should receive approval in day or two.

@Tod Daniels will have up to date information.

Thanks, I have spoken to Tod, but was hoping to get an on the ground report, mainly how to upload stuff IN Laos to the online thingy. Perhaps there is a shop opposite the consulate that does it..🤔

There's no problem getting most of the application uploaded into the eVisa program under you profile before you go.

log into the system, selection your passport country, selecting Lao, selecting Savannakhet, selecting the non-imm visa choice, staying with Thai family more than 60 days, uploading you passport data page, put the hotel as you're current address and you Thai address as your permanent address, upload your proof of funds, wife's Thai id, letter from wife, marriage documents, and saving the application in your profile without submitting it.

Then once you get to Lao, upload you visa/entry stamp,

Get as much done before you go then just show up and upload your visa entry stamp and submit the application so you can get the confirmation and go pay in person at the consulate

I did most of the online form at home, then signed out, went back to it to find all except my face and passport photo had gone, tried it a few times with no luck. There is a save button, but the same result after start-up.....I must be missing something on the page....😏

Just one question to answer on the online portal for this visa, on home address in Thailand "What is the properties name", has a red star for must answer......

Our property hasn't got a name, just the regular street number, which is in a box below the property name, has anyone any idea what to put, I was thinking "None".

That's used for condos that have a name and etc. I think "None" will be quite alright.

After doing Non-O ME runs in Savannakhet for the last several years, I am back to annual extensions. Fortunately our office has been great and the BS we encountered a few years ago with a rogue officer going completely ape sh*t on us for a simple TM30 filing is nowhere to be found. In fact each officer, we have encountered has been excellent and very professional.

Your post has nothing to do with obtaining a Non O outside of Thailand as per the OP.

As for the TM30 issue, suggest the io simply wanted a TM30 (not uncommon) and you did not provide one.
