@ThreeCardMonte At least I have friends. Maybe they are friends because I recognised their humility.

On that note, your friends must be truly obnoxious...if you have any at all.

Do you realise how childish your posts are becoming.

Childish, tiresome, pretentious with a touch of imagined arrogance creeping in.

Yeah, you not.

@hotandsticky No, I don't see that. I see you interjecting, as you imagine that my comments to @ThreeCardMonte have slighted you(as you 'proudly' pay for your company). That's your problem, not mine. If you feel bad about it being highlighted, ask yourself why. I've already told you why I would not do it.

Nothing childish, just your ego being hit and you feeling the need to lash out. Perhaps wearing sunglasses would help you to feel less awkward about it.

Why does nobody wear them here? I wore mine today and it seemed to make people nervous, especially Thai's.

They put the 'sunglasses' on the car windows here, even the front one.

You think THAT was "lashing out" 😂

@hotandsticky How would you like it described? 😊

Don't take it so personally. As they say, it's not just what you do, but the way that you do it. We all have our own ways. It's good that we can speak freely amongst each other and use what we read for guidance as to where we are ourselves.

Let's talk about sunglasses whilst we are here. I just use a tinted visor on the bike. Sunglasses are a good idea, though the frames are not as important compared to the quality of the lens. I'd certainly pay for good quality lenses and not waste money on showing off a brand name.

I don't wear sunglasses because it's not healthy. Our eyes are meant to be exposed to sunlight.

So, you buys yours off the hawkers as your sipping your Chang from a paper bag in front of Mikes Mall?

Cheaper than paying full price in a bar.   As an added bonus.  The money saved you can buy your cammo cargo shorts 🩳 that go down to two inches from your ankles directly from Mikes Mall.

How convenient for a sharp dressed man.

For some strange reasons they only shi- in your hair.  They use it as their rats nest.

Real men pay when dating a woman.

A loser would make her pay or say “let’s split the check “

You have identified your category.

Yes make you wonder about " accidentally smashed" sunglasses.

If 3 cardman walks around in public acting like he does here on AN  his glasses will get smashed!

Of course he is a really tough guy and come back with some other nonsense for us to understand how sad and lonely he really is.

In my eyes he is just a troll, never funny but always trying to infuriate people.

In general i am a peaceful person and i laugh at him ,not sure if he would need to buy new glasses if we should happen to meet.

Of course he is a gun touting overweight mm with no money at all.

Back to you shorthand!

“his glasses will get smashed “

Not by you JVS , nor anyone else.

I guarantee it.

I see you’re in the same pathetic financial state as Jake.  Typical banter put out by the “have nots”.

Again 😊 You feel the need to tell everyone on an anonymous forum about what you have 😊

You have no idea of my financial standing and I have no wont to share that with you nor anyone else here.

It's you who seems to have a problem with believing in what I post. I haven't written anything about not believing you. On the contrary...if someone shows you what they are...believe them. I believe you.

I didn't write anything about your neighbour's AC unit. You seem to be getting flustered and confused.

A friend of mine has repeatedly invited me to stay at their place in San Diego. Maybe I'll take them up on it one day.

Sometimes I pay, sometimes they pay. My girls have their own source of money, so don't need mine. Either way, none of us care about it.

Not envious, ever. I'm happy with what I have.

Everything I wrote about you earlier still stands...in spades.

“Not envious, ever. I'm happy with what I have.”

Your posts tell a different story.

Completely incorrect.

Just like the skin requires SunBlock to prevent exposure to UVA/UVB rays which cause skin cancer.

Sunglasses protect the eyes from blocking UVA/UVB rays giving protection from Cataracts, Macular degeneration, Photokeratitis and Ocular Melanoma....

Its far healthier to wear sunglasses when outdoors than not to.

I don't use sunscreens either. Sun is good, but sunburn is bad. So I just limit my exposure to the sun, rather than slathering myself with a carcinogenic cream that blocks out the beneficial aspects of sunlight.

Do you really think the human body evolved to need chemical sunscreens and sunglasses? What did people do for the hundreds of thousands of years before there were sunscreens and sunglasses? And why is there more skin cancer today than there was in the past?

They had fur.

@ThreeCardMonte It is patently clear to all and sundry, as to why you have to pay to get any action.

If we can detect it via the written word via a forum, one can extrapolate from that the waves of revulsion a woman in your company would feel.

Real men don't need to buy women. A woman who respects you and who respects herself will walk alongside you of her own free will.

Men on the lowest rung trot out the "Real men should pay" line, simply because they have to pay to get any action.

This is why you advertise what you have. Your only hope to attract someone. In return you might catch a gold digger or two and so you hand over some of your funds to get a little action.

In your febrile imagination, you imagine yours the actions of a real man 😊

No, the female chooses her mate. She might choose for money or she might choose for love. No one has chosen you because they love you 😊

I wear mine every day when it is sunny. No one bothers in my area.

Me neither until recently. I think it makes it harder for Thai's to eyeball and stare through a dark lens. There is no way to know if I'm responding or just not noticing. That's my strange theory anyway...

That doesn't make much sense when the average Thai driver is in thrall of the darkest window tint possible so you can't see them.

Anyway, do you mean they are also no longer that must-have fashion accessory for a night out? Perched on the top of the head as you hid the pubs and clubs? Never, ever did get my head around that mad affectation.

All that just for me?    Your insecurities based on your lack of financial ability is showing by the content of your posts.

You’re as long winded as Walker.

I should feel honored I occupy your brain 24/7 but considering the source, not so much.

I pay for the primary reason.  They leave afterwards.

A much better option than what a broke/skint loser would do.  “Let’s split the bin” or worse “You got this “

Yes I’ve heard of it but don’t practice it on every post.

Oh well.

People are nervous in a similar manner in the West when they see Asians wearing facemasks or holding an umbrella against the sun. What is it with people caring so much of their image or on what others think of you ? Be polite, respectful to all and the rest ? give it a hoot. Gain some confidence and self assurance. Your life will be so much better and you will feel so much free.

Obviously never watched a Thai TV show, hi-so presenters wear them all the time, I never understood why though.

Personally, mine are built in to my specs.😃

It makes them look smart.  Supposedly.

Some of the things you experience in LOS are actually pertinent to this part of the world in general, the same way that European-based cultures have common customs (e.g. covering the mouth while coughing).  When Pol Pot was purging Cambodia wearing glasses caused  them to suspect you were a reactionary intellectual.

Sunglasses are distancing, I usually take mine off (and replace them with clear-lensed glasses) when I enter a shop or mall.  Anyone venturing into Latin America should bear this in mind.
