And also a few that just see her for what she really is. Another in the long line of pop artists that sound much alike. Nothing really bad but nothing spectacular, much the same as many before and after her. Talented singer, pretty and we really know very little about her personal life besides what she says. Her lyrics might suggest how she lives her personal life but no one really knows besides those who do know her personally.

 

I'm really into music and know she has a decent voice, so you can't take that away from her.

 

Whether she writes her own music or not, she's much like thousands of other singers, who either write their own music, some of it, or rely totally on other lyricists, while her voice is what we hear.

 

She's made a lot of money doing the same as many others before her and now. Promoting is what makes the most of the talent singers have.

 

There are teenagers singing in their showers right now that likely sing better then she, but we'll never know unless they are put into the limelight and can do their thing in public. I don't really like Michael Jacksons music but he has a few songs that are definitely good. The same for Prince and Elvis. If you really know music pop isn't what you see as good but listenable. There are many more musicians that are much better than most if not all of these pop stars but again, their music isn't being promoted to those who buy the most, the teens, pre teens and early 20's crowd, mostly females.

 

Country itself today has a lot of rock musicians playing on their albums because they know they are better musicians in general, and can add an edge to the country style, which many like but many don't, preferring older country.

 

Give her credit for what she actually does. In my thinking, she was good when she started, but became much like everyone else, promoting the sex part, and that takes away from her real talent.  There will always be people that like pop music, and if it makes them happy, that's good. That some of these stars influence young girls immorally isn't good, but there's nothing we can do to change that besides introduce your children to better music, and teach them well while they're still at home.
