You could be right.  We'll have to wait and see.   Who would have predicted that the Tories would win again in 1992 after the poll tax demonstrations and riots in 1990?

Someone who has a grip on the math.

Farage seems not to have noticed either the public opposition to Trump’s mass deportations nor the impact its having on the economy and the international standing of the U.S.

He is, as always, strong on inflammatory rhetoric, weak on detail.

A carnival barker calling in punters for his clown show while hiding the truth of the price of the tickets.

Perhaps, he is using Trumps path to reduce illegals since it has been so successful, albeit some are complaining. You can make some of the people happy some of the time, but you can not make all of the people happy all of the time.

You can never make lefties happy.

When you appease them, they just ask for something more.

As someone who is actually living in a Reform area I have to say you are completely wrong. Just Waite until next years local government results come in,I have a feeling you’ll wet your nickers.

Refugees are welcome.

Ukrainian refugees are an example, warmly welcomed to the UK.

Good point, firstly the vast majority of the Ukrainian refugees are women and children while the men folk have stayed at home to fight the Russian invaders how so unlike the Illegals . Secondly the Ukrainian refugees share a similar culture to that of the people in the rest of Europe especially in how the look upon women.  Do we really need a further influx of potential rape gangs.

Yes, I genuinely believed that Remain would win.  They certainly would now, if there was another referendum.

But while there's no doubting Labour's and Starmer's currently unpopularity at the moment, 4 years is a long time in politics.  Getting the bad news and hardships out of the way in the first year or two, then building up to a election with sweeteners is normal.  And, as I said, Reform are currently a one-trick pony and a closer examination of their policies will cut their support dramatically.

I'm counting on a centre-left coalition of Labour, Lib Dems, SNP, Greens and some independents.  Maybe even the Workers Party and Your Party (doubtful).  If the Tories could do a deal with Reform it would be close.  But if they don't, it won't.

How interesting.

I have done a quick simple search for the Remain Party in the UK on Google.

The AI overview came back with this result.

AI Overview
There is no single "Remain party" in the UK; instead, the Unite to Remain electoral pact in the 2019 general election was an alliance of parties supporting a second referendum on EU membership, which was the Liberal Democrats, the Green Party, and Plaid Cymru. Other parties, including the Scottish National Party (SNP) and the Labour Party (after the 2019 general election), have also supported remaining in the EU or a second referendum, though they were not part of the Unite to Remain pact.

There is however, on Wikipedia, this,

 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unite_to_Remain

From the link

Unite to Remain (Welsh: Uno i Aros)[1] was a campaign and electoral pact during the 2019 United Kingdom general election. It involved three parties that supported remaining in the European Union: the Liberal Democrats, the Green Party of England and Wales, and, in Wales, Plaid Cymru. Its stated goal was to avoid the spoiler effect and maximise the number of MPs elected who would oppose Brexit.

In 49 constituencies in England and 11 in Wales, the pact led to only one of these parties standing a candidate. Of the 60 constituencies, 43 had Liberal Democrat candidates only, 10 had Green Party candidates only, and 7 had Plaid Cymru candidates only.[2][3][4][5][6] The seats covered by the pact included some defended by a Unite to Remain party, as well as target seats held by the Conservative or Labour parties.

Nine Unite to Remain candidates were elected (5 Liberal Democrats, 3 Plaid Cymru, 1 Green), which represented one gain and one loss compared to the 2017 general election results.

From what I read and can Glean from the internet searches is that there is actually no Remain to Unite to remain political party in the UK. It was merely a pact by several different political parties.

Whether it could be cobbled together as a truly political party, stand for a general election and win the majority of seats I have no idea, but IMHO it is doubtful.
