I met my Thai wife in a Beach Road bar 25 years ago, of course being a Thai she throws a wobbly when things don't go her way. Her kids both in their late 40's treat me extra well. Actually her siblings treat me as though I'm special and have never ever demanded money. May I add they are all from Korat and when I visit them anually I pay for the party and they make sure it's for family members only.

It depends on the sexual market value gap. If the guy is a 290 pound bear with long hair, and she's a petite very pretty girl, then yes.

It is probably wrong in some way but I would be lying if I said I didn’t.

 

Other red flags are a big age gap, big attractiveness gap, if the male is fat and bald, if she has tattoos, if she is from Issan, if she drinks alcohol, if she makes sexual type jokes, if she doesn’t have a job.

 

 

You did not mention, if she has a really deep tan, that always gives it away.

OP, I don't care and neither should you, or anyone else.  Most people living in Thailand are fxxxed up in one way or another, so nobody should be judging others.  Unless, and there is always an exception.  Anyone who walks around town and shops with their shirts off and old men wearing vest type T shirts, or just actual vests.  Usually the ladies, regardless of their job or background, dress a damn sight better than most farangs. 

 Being Married for over 40 years (Plus) to a Thai lady that I happened to meet in Tokyo, I can say "SADLY" say that yes, when you meet anyone here in the USA, especially after Vietnam, that they "mostly" think you married a Bargirl when you mention she is from Thailand.  Personally, most Americans cannot distinguish an Oriental, geographical difference between “Asian or being Oriental", where when I mention she is from Thailand and later on in the conversation for some reason, they mention she is from Taiwan. LOL. Personally, it's Great to be married to a Thai lady as I am very Lucky and Blessed.

Up to about 20 yrs ago I could tell if a Thai girl was a sex worker if she had Tattoos, drank alcohol wore extra sexy cloths. But now times have changed as I see quite a few respectable girls with just a small Tattoo but certainly not with large and especially down their legs and on their backs, same for alcohol consumption as I now sees quite a few respectable girls having a social drink. Then of course there are many girl students who manage to supplement their income by being the girlfriend of a rich benefactor while telling anyone who cares to listen that they are the cream of the cream.
