Bill Clinton, the former US President, has prompted renewed speculation about his health after being photographed with what appeared to be a portable defibrillator while leaving the Hamptons.

 

The 79-year-old, accompanied by his wife Hillary, 77, was seen carrying a Propaq MD Air Medical Bag, a device used for patient monitoring and emergency resuscitation.

The moment has drawn attention because of Clinton’s long record of medical problems. Over the past two decades he has undergone major heart surgery, had stents fitted, experienced a collapsed lung, been hospitalised with sepsis, and was treated for a fever as recently as last year. He's an old man, of course he has health issues.

79 is not that young, but you wonder these guys who reach high levels of success in their careers don't give a rat's ass about going to the gym, proper diets .... too busy working and shmoozing their whole lives?

 

I'm a nobody, but at least I have time to go to the gym.

I'm not concerned. Clinton has access to medical care that 99 percent of the rest of Americans can only dream of. There is something strange about all these politicians for whom announcements are made that they are facing deathly diagnoses yet they just go on and on an on. See Carter, Feinstein, Biden, McConnell.

Clinton made a dramatic and noticeable change in his lifestyle after his bypass surgery. He started exercising, lost alot of excess weight, adopted a vegan diet and has avoided alcohol and tobacco. This change combined with the surgical intervention and drugs is  what has kept him alive and functioning. 79 is excellent for a man with advanced coronary heart disease. He has already beat the life expectancy for a US male. He might be able to make to 85.

I wish Bill Clinton the best but there is no equivalence to the situation with Mr. Trump. Mr. Trump's health is of global political and economic importance as he is president NOW. Bill Clinton's health has no such impact whatsover.
