Trump’s approval rating plummets to record low

Donald Trump's approval rating has fallen to new lows in his second term, reflecting growing dissatisfaction among American voters. According to a Quinnipiac University poll, only 37% of registered voters approve of his performance, while 55% express disapproval. This decline is notable among Republican supporters, as their approval has dropped from 90% to 84% within the past month.

This decrease in approval coincides with numerous challenges facing the Trump administration. Public support for his management of the economy, trade, and the Israeli-Gaza conflict has declined. However, Trump has seen a slight increase in approval for his efforts to mediate peace in Ukraine. He recently met with Russian President Vladimir Putin and European leaders, including Ukraine’s Volodymyr Zelensky, to discuss potential resolutions.

One prominent issue affecting Trump's approval is his approach to crime, especially in Democrat-led cities. The deployment of National Guard troops in Washington, D.C., has been criticized, as images of troops stationed in high-tourism areas have prompted backlash. With 54% of voters disapproving of his crime strategy and only 42% supporting it, the occupation has seen 56% opposition among voters.

Additionally, Trump’s handling of the Jeffrey Epstein investigation has sparked considerable disapproval. Despite promises to release further details and key files, 67% of voters disapprove of the administration’s handling of the situation. This discontent is magnified by 73% who blame the Justice Department for a lack of transparency.

These challenges present significant obstacles for congressional Republicans as midterm elections approach. Their capacity to maintain narrow majorities is jeopardized by ongoing issues. The GOP must strategically tackle these challenges to pass meaningful legislation and sustain political momentum.

Congressional Democrats are also contending with low approval ratings, albeit with slightly better standing than Republicans. In the July poll, 17% of voters approved of Democrats in Congress, compared to 33% who approved of Republicans.

The potential implications of declining support for Trump are significant. If economic conditions worsen or if ongoing international conflicts remain unresolved, Republicans may find themselves in a precarious position as they seek to protect their congressional majority.

The Quinnipiac poll, conducted from August 21-25, surveyed 1,220 registered voters and has a margin of error of 3.4 percentage points. Insights from this poll emphasize the political complexities and challenges confronting the Trump administration and the broader Republican Party.

In the coming months, Trump and Republican lawmakers face the crucial task of restoring public confidence and achieving electoral success amid a complex landscape of domestic and international pressures. The administration's strategies and responses to these challenges will significantly influence the political climate moving forward.

Overall, Trump faces a daunting task in navigating the multifaceted issues diminishing his approval ratings. Addressing public concerns while maintaining focus on key agenda items is essential for regaining voter trust and bolstering political standing. The administration's ability to adapt and respond to these challenges will play a pivotal role in determining its future success and influence in American politics.

Why after all he is such a wonderful man 🤣

"You can fool all of the people some of the time

and some of the people (37%) all of the time

but you can't fool all of the people all of the time"

-A Lincoln

Polls always get it right ....

"And the polls show Hillary Clinton will be the next president before the night is over"

"And the polls show Kamala Harris will be the next president before the night is over"

:cheesy:

All a bit irrelevant, as He or Vance will be there for the next 3+ years.   Just the MSM constant brain washing, smear attempt before mid terms.  Expect it to be non stop till Nov 2026

Now take out the 6 dodgy ones.

You mean the one that you don't like?

If there is one obvious dodgy in that list it must be this one. Remove it and his average approval sinks even more.

Is that really the best you can do, deflecting from the topic, because you have nothing else? Sounds like a sore loser

2016 -2

2024 + 1.5

All the polls above 2 are junk. Average the rest you get -2/3 = -.66

You'd think you would of learned something after posting the same kinds of polls during the 2024 race.

But nope here you are.

His approval rating with me has never been higher. Thats all that counts
