@Hummin let’s also be very real. You started this topic in a public forum, one that is largely pro-cannabis, fully aware that others are equally entitled to reply and disagree. And now you are upset because people actually do disagree with your narrow, self-entitled agenda. That is how discussion boards work. You cannot claim the floor, post dozens of whingeing complaints, and then act shocked when your opinions are challenged as if the world owes you some form of unified agreement. The irony is obvious: your outrage is less about public smoking and more about the narcissistic frustration of not being able to control the conversation.

Just a simple poll about the majority of the members here and their relationship with weed.

Does it bother you or not? Should it be legalized or not, and what about smoking in public?

I don’t think I’ve ever tried it, but I can’t stand the smell, especially when I’m running back home in the UK along a bridleway and some yobs are smoking it. The smoke gets in my lungs as I pass them, which definitely doesn’t help with my running.

I think you all make it more than it is really. Seems you guys think I'm angry,

And again this tread came as a poll after numerous treads about the situation about closing down the weed shops.

It is an innocent poll and not speculative. Again I make my replies based on the heat each and one of you guys gives, and nothing more or less.

It starts to become a comedy for real

Fair enough, Hummin. If this thread was just meant only as a poll, then the chaos it’s generated is exactly what happens when you invite opinions in a public forum. You plant a topic, people respond, and suddenly what was simple becomes… entertaining.

It’s easy to call it comedy, and it can be, but that’s only because you can see the variety of reactions from everyone else. A little surprise, a little exaggeration, a few repeated points, those are all elements of the heartbeat of discussion boards. The more you reply, the more the rhythm continues, and the more everyone else gets to offer their take.

So if you’re hoping for a quiet, controlled conversation, that’s not how forums work. But if you enjoy seeing your poll spark dozens of replies, watching people interpret, misinterpret, and debate, then sit back and keep joining in. You’re part of the entertainment, whether you like it or not, and clearly, that is what makes both you and the thread you created feel more alive.

Take a deep breath as you are approaching them and exhale as you are passing them by. Simple solution. Problem solved. You just need to toughen up and act a bit more vigilant. It's the same thing I do when I get close to someone smoking a cigarette or I get a whiff of someone's unpleasant body odor.

That’s exactly how I approach smokers, but this stuff is too strong, it clings to your lungs and the smell carries for miles.

Multiple troll posts and replies, just trying to troll and flame have been removed.

Ouch! That left a mark 🙂

So it has been nearly a few months now and I am wondering how this crusade has played out for you beyond the forum itself? You were very clear before about wanting to confront tourists in public, so I am curious whether that actually translated into real world interactions? You framed it as an issue of public standards and decency so it would be interesting to know whether you feel those efforts made any noticeable difference or whether the discussion never made it any further past a bunch of whining on AN?

I thought he was taking a stand about all the tourists smoking weed publicly in places all around Thailand that he travels to with his wife and children?

I guess, @mordothailand, that means you say no to aspirin, paracetamol...in fact any kind of medicine. Or are you just repeating parrot fashion, things about which you know nothing?
