I'm Having A Psyche Issue

Featured Replies

I'm living in Pattaya and started viewing Thai women as unclean. It's so bad now that I don't even want to have sex with them if it was offered. It seems to be getting worse. When I do approach women it's women of different races, black, Chinese, Japanese, etc., but it's not very often.

What should I do, move out of the area, or just wait it out? Relocate back to home country? I don't want to just fly solo and am not interested in social contacts with males.

It's been going on for many months now. Therapy is not an option here since I don't think there are many good therapists around.

Wow, who could have possibly predicted that moving to the world capital of sex tourism would expose you to a lot of sex workers and eventually sour you on local women. Truly shocking stuff. Definitely sounds like an issue for a therapist because it can't be the painfully obvious outcome of your own decision making. You planted yourself in the middle of a giant open air brothel and now you are surprised that there are... well, brothels everywhere. That is not psychology, that is geography.

It’s kind of like moving to Alaska and then complaining that you are tired of snow. Or buying a house next to an airport and then wondering why it is so loud. If you really want the situation to change the solution is not deep therapy, it is simply moving yourself somewhere that isn’t designed for the exact thing you now dislike. Until then you are basically diagnosing yourself with common sense deficiency.

I feel like there is a lesson here somewhere, or I would not be here. I don't believe in coincidences.

The question is what is that lesson and will the place somehow spit me out if I'm here long enough. Places have a way of doing that if you don't belong somewhere. Kind of like having a splinter in your body, it is recognized as a foreign body and the host rejects it.

The lesson here is that if you have issues of any kind back home in the west, don't think they will vanish in Thailand, just due to the favorable exchange rate enabling to indulge in "paid company".

If you already have issues in your homeland, solve them there. Once solved or at least once tamed,  no matter where you go, you will be free.

I developed the issue while here, not in my home country. I have lived in Thailand and South East Asia probably 15 years.

Prior to that I was dating (non prostitute) and did not have my current perception of unclean women. My move over here was due to financial difficulty primarily.

Take a few months off. Focus on yourself for a while.

You'll definitely need therapy if you relocate back to home country.

Try a ladyboy, they are not for me but I'm seeing most of my friends who visit from abroad trying a ladyboy.

Bloody weirdos

Or maybe a 7eleven girl, they always look clean.

Ahhhh, so the root problem is that you're surrounded by all of these "Dirty Women" but can't afford any of them and it's somehow their fault...

You've been in Thailand and SEA for 15 years, and you still can't figure out how to find non-prostitute partners? There's no hope for you - go home!

I guess there will always be reincarnations of Howard Hughes.

walk around the bar zone with a Bible to try to convert the women away from their wicked ways.

Go shopping. Every shop, every mall, every village. Buy soap & shampoo. They are all watching & waiting for you to go to the ATM.🙃🙃

That's definately part of it if they are having sex. It's more then being physically unclean though, it's also a kind of spiritual stain that I view in them even if they are not prostitutes.

I can see my view as unreasonable without knowing each person, yet I can't get over the feeling. It's at the point now where I'm feeling generalized revulsion for no apparent reason.

Thai women are very clean but the risk of transmitable disease can't be cured with soap, protection is what's needed, maybe looking for a steady who never worked bars might be your answer
